  • It's not hard to work hard.
Doc's decision to play 4 bench players at once and the team's apparent preference for Perkins in the post against O'Neal instead of KG vs. Beasley destroyed our offense.

What happened to Rondo pick and rolls and Pierce 17 feet and in?

Meanwhile, Miami's offense should stall once we protect the offensive boards and bait them into posting oneal.

I thought the offensive strategy was ok, we just missed a whole lot of open looks, particularly Ray, and couldn't finish anything inside, especially Perk.

agreed, TP.

I haven't posted in this thread tonight, but my thoughts from the first half:

- Doc is absolutely blowing this game.
- Perkins is looking awful against Miami.
- Rasheed played hard but they didn't get it to him in the post.
- Why the *BLEEP* is Glen Davis playing?!  That position from the bench should be 4 minutes for the game, and Glen has already played way too many.  3 easy buckets turned into blocked shots / turnovers.  Rasheed was pulled way too early.. he should be in place of Perkins for most of the minutes, and there is NO WAY that he should be getting LESS minutes than Davis.
-I'm so peeved at Doc for his rotations.  EXTREMELY angry at him.

We had Baby and Sheed in together and Baby is posting up and getting stuffed and Sheed is hanging out at the 3-point line.

Is Doc even coaching this team, or is he checking his kids' volleyball games on his iPhone?

I understood taking the ball out of Rondo's hands in the first quarter to save his energy, but other than that we've got no clue. Get the ball to KG in the post - which will defeat either zones or Beasley guarding him one-on-one.

You think? They still fumbling around for the famous mystery switch.

The switch is invisible, that's the problem.

Yeah that had me a little surprised. Didn't Doc say we wouldn't see the all bench line-up in the playoffs? I know technically 4 + 1 starter is not all bench but practically it is.

Miami is about as good as the Celtics. They're not crappy unless we're crappy.

Yaah, and he looked danm good at backup pg. Had two great passes to Baby, but Baby blew layups both times.

When our shots DON'T go in--or when we don't get a foul call---we just HANG our heads and mope.....the other teams KEEP WORKING----Thus, Home losses occur.

I'd really try to get Ray going early in the 3rd quarter. If his first shot looks bad, maybe cancel that plan, but a hot Ray means this offense is flowing very well. Even KG looked pretty good on isos vs. Beasley.
