Dallas shouldn't blow up the roster. They are one move away from being an elite team.

They have a good trade assets in Dampier's non-guaranteed contract and the potential of Beaubois. Trading Jason Terry could also net a more useful piece (albeit likely with a dodgy contract).

Yup ... I agree ... they're very close to being a Finals contentder ... one, maybe two changes needed. Interesting apology by Cuban ... very contrite and heart-felt ... I would've thought it was a bit below him, (in his own mind).

I'm pulling for the Suns in the west.  I'd like to see Nash have a shot in the Finals.

I just want Hill to go past the first round. It's been a long time coming.

Oh, I like the Suns a lot too, and I love Steve Nash.  I just don't see them beating the Spurs.  The Suns need to run to win and the Spurs are the masters of slowing down the game.  Ginobili and Parker should have a field day blowing past Nash and scoring inside against their soft bigs (no Robin Lopez).

In retrospect, I'm not sure why I picked the Suns to beat the Spurs.  I guess we'll see how it goes, though (assuming the Suns win).

Suns vs Spurs should be a great series. It'll probably go 7, and yeah I give the edge to San Antonio.

The Jazz will play like crap on the road and LA will take them out in 5.

As for Orlando vs whoever.... yawn... Orlando in whatever.....

The Jazz have played pretty well on the road versus one of the best home teams in the league (the Nuggets).

I think people are sleeping a bit on the Jazz (still) just because the Nuggets are in some disarray without Coach Karl.  The Jazz have a real shot at beating the Lakers if Kobe stays in his funk and OKC continues to wear them out.

D-Will is a matchup nightmare for LA's guards and Boozer is physical enough to push around Gasol and Bynum.  Fesenko can't do much but he can be physical down low, too.  We all know very well what you can do to the Lakers if you play tough and physical with them.  The Jazz, unlike the Thunder, don't rely on heavy scoring from their wings, which works out really well since the Lakers' two best defenders are on the wing.

I'm not saying Utah will definitely beat the Lakers, but I think they have a really decent shot at it.

The Nuggets of the past month have been kind of bad though.... they were due to loose to anyone. The Jazz are so mediocre on the road, especially and perhaps specifically against the Lakers. The Laker front line will overwhelm the Jazz as usual. I wish I were wrong.

Who do you think will win the series, and in how many games?

It all depends on the health of Kirilenko and Kobe, and which Lakers team shows up.  It's hard to say, but based solely on how both teams have played so far, I'm gonna say Jazz in 6.

Sir Charles: "If I had any kind of 'guts' at all, I'd say the Cavs are gonna sweep the Celtics" ... what amazes me is not his biased rants, but the fact that despite the endless amount of times that the Celtics have proven him wrong, he still talks them down. When are you gonna learn, Chuck?!? (I love this underdog stuff, though! ;))

The Lakers gotta get Derek Fisher off of Jeff Green.

They brought in Lamar Odom. That is a good move but I think they should have gone with Luke Walton instead ... Walton would have done a better job allowing LA to run their offense as normal. The floor is going to get a lot smaller with Odom in there at the three.

A lot of post ups = a lot of scrambling double teams = either an increased number of turnovers or an increased number of forced perimeter shots against the clock

Lakers not playing good transition defense since they moved to the bigger lineup.

I like Phil Jackson coming back with Bynum to start the second quarter. They Lakers need his physical presence in the paint right now. Give them an anchor defensively.

I also like Luke Walton coming in. Good offensive facilitator, he'll help them get their rhythm back.

Farmer regularly struggles against big physical point guards ... good opportunity for Westbrook here.

Pretty solid game so far.

I love this OKC crowd.  They've been great so far these playoffs.

Artest has done an excellent job on Durant in this series.

Durant is 1-8 from the field tonight and only 38-107 over the six games so far. As a result, Durant is only posting a true shooting percentage of 49.44% despite earning almost 10 free throws per game. Great job by Artest.

I didn't think Artest would be this effective against Durant.

Lookin' like a Lakers win.

I think they woke up in the last game.  Hopefully they don't start playing like defending champs suddenly.

They make the Celtics crowd look really, really bad. We need some of that.
