I'm still trying to figure that out myself.

Well, when something becomes stuck in a person's throat - say, a piece of food, or crushing anxiety caused by close proximity to a historic breakdown before thousands of die-hard fans - it can sometimes cause the person to have trouble breathing, to the point that the person can do nothing except turn red and clutch desperately at their throat as they slowly run of of air.

  • GOT IT!!!
Not much of a hockey fan but how big of choke is the philly/bos series? 4 straight losses and leading 3-0 in game 7.

I would be p---ED if that happened to the C's.

Dear God, I'm shivering at the thought of what this blog would look like if the Celtics did this to us.  But we all know that won't happen, right?  Right?  RIGHT?!

I'm pretty confident it's never going to happen in the NBA.  *knock on wood*

Worst loss in the history of this team ... I am still stunned, and will be for a while. Unbelievable to blow such a lead, both in the series and the game ... credit Philly ... an amazing, never-say-die effort.  :'(  (Thank God for the Celtics)

Like Jack Edwards was saying it was a microcosm of the series.  And boy was he extremely annoying tonight and I normally love Jack.

I guess it's a sign of my level of fantacism (or lack there of) for the Bruins that I'm not totally spinning right now.

I remember being physically dizzy and unable to sleep for lack of total comprehension after the Sox losses to the Yankees in `03 and the Mets in `86.

Not so much for the B's.
Yup

Well that's great for you because I can't even explain how bad I feel right now and game one on Sunday for the C's can not come soon enough!

I'm shell shocked right now. I can't believe we actually lost a 3-0 lead. Being on the wrong side of the historical comeback hurts. I totally know how Cleveland fans felt yesterday night.

I know! All day I just kept telling myself we got this. There's no way we lose. 2nd weekend in a row ruined.

This is one of those things we'll share with our grandchildren ... one of the biggest chokes in the history of the NHL ... we were witness! (Ugh!)

It also worries me what affect this will have on the psyche of this team next season.
