I don't see any reason for outrage.  Cleveland has been the best and most consistent team this season, by far.

If not Cleveland, who should experts be picking?  Orlando and LA, maybe.  Dallas, perhaps.  Otherwise, every team has been wildly inconsistent.  I certainly can't be down on any objective observer who doesn't think the Celts are contenders.  Candidly, on balance they haven't looked like contenders since late December.  I'm still hopeful, but there's no reason that Barkley should be.

honestly. Even Tommy Heinson said a while back during a celtics game broadcast that the cavs are going to win the championship this year and that lebron should stay in cleveland because he can run for governor later. It hurt to hear Tommy say it, but they are the logical favorite.

Orlando is my pick to win it all.

I'm not outraged, I just hope it will make the Celtics mad. We need the fire back.

Why get mad at Barkley? Everything he said is true and correct.

Not surprising. They've been the strongest team this year. I don't think the Lakers will win it... we're not looking to good... Orlando might get the benefit of the matchups, beat the Cavs, and face a non-Laker team in the finals to steal a championship.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

I don't see how a team of ONE can win it all, the best four teams in a series can win depending on who's hot & who's not.  From the odd losses this year (not just us) I don't see any team out front.  I actually think Dallas is playing well enough to come out of west now.

Then again, Dwayne Wade already did that. He beat Dallas in 2006 all by himself.

I'm picking Dallas to win it all.
Dirk's game hasn't slipped one bit, and their team is loaded with vets who are all playing at a very high level, focused on that ring.

And now that they feature two full-time, top notch defenders (Butler, Marion) -- along with the guard play they're getting from Kidd, Terry, and Beaubois - they'll be very tough to beat 4 times.

But I could see us at least getting to the Finals.  I'm not impressed with Orl or Clev.

that was a pretty nice group dwayne had with him
alonzo mourning (oh to be a celtic)
shaq
posey
jay williams
payton
haslem & kapono good role players
even TOINE

cleveland's offense is built around james (who is great) and james alone
dwest good role player
shaq done
z done
side show bob good hustle guy who will kill you if you don't get a body on him
maybe shaq can turn it on for the vet presence that miami had but maybe 'sheed can also  :P

I agree with you.  Cleveland's pretty inconsistent minus Lebron.

Same with Orlando, imho.  Pull Howard off that roster and your left with a bunch of inconsistent, shoot-first wings.

When is Barkley right? He may think he's right but I doubt it.

But Howard is the guy who makes the whole team work. They're built around the most dangerous inside guy in the game and they have a slew of players who can kill you from outside, giving them a great inside out game.  Orlando is a very good team as long as Stan Van Gundy has them focused.
