He's still got it. 100%

Don't worry. The beast will be unleashed.
I hope you are right.  I think I would go with 75% at this point though.

I have to agree with the guy who said Paul is one of the most underrated players in the modern area and it's probably because he doesnt jump as high as some. Imagine Paul with the arsenal of moves he has and throw in a 45 inch vertical, he would get notice quickly. If not for injuries this season he would be showing a lot more and I think come playoff time he will again, regardless of his health.

I remember that Crazy Dunk over Chris Bosh in the game in Boston this year..that Dunk came out of nowhere, too.

I couldn't find the video for it, but what about that comeback over the Nets way back when.  That was one of the most exciting games I've ever seen.

Here's one I posted in another thread:  Paul absolutely takes apart the Pacers in the 3rd quarter of Game 4, 2003.

Nice Posts from everyone. TPs all around.

Pierce still has it..no doubt. The thing that has been slowing him down this year is injuries.

The man nearly matched the most prolific scorer in the game right now (Kevin Durant) point for point in Oklahoma in the Celtics victory earlier this year - when he was healthy. Barely broke a sweat, too.

The count in the first half of that game was KD - 21, Pierce 18.

Then KG went ballistic and took over in the 3rd, but still - when Pierce is Healthy he can still score with the best of them. When he is in a groove he is nearly unstoppable. When he has his patented pumpfakes and cross-overs going he is hard to contain.

I've always loved the pace that Pierce plays at - never too fancy..just his game. Just looking at the youtube clips here, you can tell that Paul may not have been the fastest or quickest on the floor, but he did what he wanted to, and got to the basket when he wanted to.

True Celtic.

Yeah,I felt for Bosh, too, after that one.

But Pierce would've went through him on that play regardless of whether he kneed him or not.

When Pierce gets a full head of steam like that he's either going to dunk it or get some free throws.

I love how Paul just calmly walks away after the dunk, like it's no biggie that he just poster-ized  Bosh like that.

  • And the Truth shall set you free
Thanks for adding videos guys.  Unfortunately i can't watch them here at work.  I know what those videos are though.  I especially love looking back at Pierce in the early 2000's.  I think it is very unfortunate he had terrible teams for so many years because I honestly believe we were robbed of some great moments from his career.  Back then you always felt he was going to come through no matter what.  Now, I agree that he still has it but because of injuries and what not its not the same.

Does anyone remember the series against indiana in 2003?  He was amazing.  I remember the comeback in game one of that series where he just took over.  I also remember the three at the end of the third when Al Harrington even admitted that he fouled him on the shot... He really was amazing.  Does anyone have video of those games?

Unfortunately, playing in with the big three he has had to reel in his game.  Of course it won us a championship but I still feel like his game has been pulled in too much.  With Doc accusing him of taking "hero shots" in 07-08 he had to pull back even more.

Pierce is one of the all time NBA greats for sure! And he still is still currently the 4th best small forward behind James, Durant and Anthony.

Oh captain, my captain, we're gonna need you to come up big in the playoffs.

PP manning up at the free throw line, think I've seen him do this a couple times.
