Simple and to the point.  Look on the NBA store website, and you'll see Rondo is one of the players the NBA is promoting.  T-shirt is listed next to kobe.

on nother note; I also happen to think Rondo will have to dominate for 40 min. a night for us to have success in the playoffs.

I'm gonna go ahead and predict Rondo won't almost average a triple double again in the first round.

Yea, that's not much of a limb when you consider the two teams we are likely to be playing have a very, very slow pace and play solid defense. He can still dominate and not be flirting with a triple double average.

  Or the 2nd round?

It's a pretty safe bet. There are only a few players in the history of the nba that put up "almost triple double" numbers for as long as he did in the playoffs in any single year. I think the list of players besides Rondo who played in more than one series and averaged more than 9 boards and assists is Magic, Kidd, Oscar and Wilt. Maybe 1 or 2 more.

Then again, he could do it again. Clearly he's capable, but I think he might end up a little short on rebounds.

I've been wondering lately when the NBA will start marketing him as one of the stars. To me he's the kind of exciting young players casual fans should enjoy watching and is a respectable law-abiding person off-court. Through my green tinted lenses it is a no-brainer. Besides he plays for the best franchise  ;D
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

Lol, if Rondo can play basketball like a normal human being, keep the turnovers under 300 a game and maybe learn how to shoot, I'll be happy.

Whatever happened to that story where Rondo learned how to improve his shooting by working with Mark Price?

Go check out his FT% since the beginning of March.

Hopefully we play most our playoff games on Tuesdays... Rondo has a free throw percentage of 81%

I can't say I disagree with this, dude.  Rondo has been doing well this season but has been blessed with a complete "all of the credit, none of the blame" approach from the fans.

I think people have placed a ton of blame on him. He will do almost everything on the court and people, has been the best player on the team this year and people always want to go back to his free throw percentage. If this is the one gripe that people have about him i can live with it. Also as another poster has mentioned he has been improving as the season has progressed

Against Milwaukee? Who has NO center, and another rookie point guard... I think he could do it.

What's up with the turnover comment? Rondo is top 10 in Ast/TO ratio.

Whats up with most of these comments? His shooting has clearly improved as well.

Foul shooting has improved significantly. Jump shooting has not improved and might have gotten worse in the last half of this season.
