Its better when you win and your team wins.
ha!  That is true...even if the two are not the same.  I am getting very confused.  Good playing, Rebus.  I need a lot of luck to have a comeback against you...

(Does anyone on the  76ers ever go off for a big game? It seems to me that no matter who I picked I would be in this same leaky boat.  You may pick the wrong player on any given night on the Celtics, but at least you know they are all capable of having a big night.)
Evan Turner got some good PAPOUG scores this year, along with Jodie Meeks and Thaddeus Young, (I know I used Meeks and Turner more than once this year), and Iggy has been known to "go off" from time-to-time, but unfortunately, this is a hit-and-miss game, and picking the right guy on the right night is just plain luck, and the reason why these Pick-A-Player games are not only fun, but extremely frustrating at times. The nature of the beast. ;)

** Notice: When posting your pick, please make sure you use your player's average from the entire year, and not just from one team. When a player is traded in mid-season, their yearly average is a combination of their averages from both teams, not just one, (as some have been posted recently). Thanks! **

** For those who may be confused by how I list the results, this is how it's broken down: **

team abbreviation   -   player's name (picked for that game)   :   that player's 2011-2012 scoring average   /   that player's points total for that game   =   that day's net score above/below player's average   /   that day's net margin over/under competitor's net score   //   net gain/loss of all games played to that point (all net scores added together)   /   net margin over/under competitor's net gain/loss to that point (this is used as a tie-breaker)    (win/loss record to that point)

Example:

CHI  -  Michael Jordan :  30.5 / 42 =  +11.5 / +4.3  //  +2.7 / +6.3  (2/1)

Hope this helps!

** Please send me a PM if you notice any discrepancies or errors. Leaders are marked in red, ties are marked in purple - in case of a tie, the total points difference decides the winner. Missing your pick will result in a score five points less than that of your opponent's. **

Wow ... an extremely close series between BDM and Redz ... love this format, cuz what happens in the actual NBA game has very little bearing, (if any), on what happens with PAPOUG, and you can win even when your team doesn't, or even when you have a negative score!

Shoosh!  I didn't get to see any of the game.  I saw the scores and highlights out of the corner of my eye at dinner, but neither of our guys were showing up on the leader board.  Figured it was close.  Very fortunate to have reaped the benefits of DWade's no show in Game 3.  Now it's a dog fight with 5th and 6th guys.
Yup

TPs and sincere thanks to both, and we hope to see you next fall for PAPOUG 2012-2013! **
