I'd say the C's need an athletic big more than a guy like Mike Miller, who is touted as a top MLE target.  I'd rather have a guy like Singleton, personally...

Hawks - Raptors. Playoff implications for both teams, and for the Celtics.

Definitely made the right move donating my seats to charity tonight. Simply deplorable, really disgusting play by the Celtics. ZERO on the pride meter.

What's more aggravating? That the C's are having trouble putting 30 points on the board in a half or that the C's are on a pace to give up over 100 points for the 6th game in a row?

Definitely the former; this year's team has had shockingly awful offense on numerous occasions, and it's extremely troubling. 

Talk all you want about defense winning championships, but it's incredibly hard to win games when your offense is consistently comatose.

The bottom line is this team isn't built to score points if the Big 3 aren't playing like stars, and it's been rare this season that all three of them play like stars.  Doesn't help that we now don't have a single bench player who can give us reliable scoring, either.

Was it this disheartening watching the Celtics in 2007 when they were truly awful?  I didn't really become interested in basketball until the '08 season (call me a bandwagoner if you like, but that's just how it worked out), so I don't know.

At least the '07 team had good reason to be bad.

Turning on the TV and seeing the Celtics getting blown out by yet another lottery team makes me feel legitimately ashamed and disappointed to be a Celtics fan.

i have followed boston like a religion since 1983. even in the year where they had the brutal losing streak...they tried and played hard. when they won the title...they played hard....heck even last year they busted hump despite being undermanned. now we get this? i mean the entire season has been this crap. boston would be a 6, 7 or 8 seed in the west right now.

there is NO WAY in the world this team is going to turn it on for the playoffs.in fact...i expect they will perform pretty much like this. i am no longer angry because they have done this all year. i find them comical and a waste of time.

In '07, we at least had hope for the future- Al Jefferson, the hope of getting Durant, and a bunch of expiring deals to trade for someone if getting Durant didn't work out.  (although Pierce most certainly would have been traded that fateful summer for pennies on the dollar if we got Durant.)

I love Singleton's rebounding + athleticism. I desperately want the Celtics to sign him this summer.

He'd be an excellent fourth big in the depth chart.

I like him a lot as well.  It's taken him forever to find his place in the league, but he's always had the body and the skills to be an important role player.

I'm a big fan of a rookie from Singleton's college conference, the OVC: Kenneth Faried.  He's a more athletic, much better rebounding version of Singleton (without the streaky range).

What frustrates me the most about the offense is that this has been clear for quite awhile now and still no attempt has been made to turn more of the offense over to Rajon Rondo.

Rajon Rondo should be given the opportunity to fill more of that void. The Big Three are still excellent finishers to plays when a shot is created for them and Rondo can do that.

I hope the team is embarrassed in the locker room? How can they give this kind of effort and not be? Another night of the crowd at the Garden gets its money's worth!
