What do people think of Garnett's defense over the last couple of weeks?

I think it's dropped off pretty badly versus where it was earlier in the season.

he looks washed up and old honestly

  • It's not hard to work hard.
What a hideous performance from the bench. These are the guys that should be fighting for minutes.
McHale's favorite ruse is putting paper in the mouths of sleeping teammates. "Try using one of these cocktail napkins," he said. "When just the edge sticks out of a guy's mouth, it looks like he's got fangs. The best part is when he wakes up."

  • Thank you Eddie!
We need a "Fire Doc!" chant from this crowd.  BADLY.  :-X
I didn't know it was Doc playing horrible defense and missing every shot possible while showing zero effort.
He DID say before the game to Gorman that they weren't going to try to win tonight so they can "rest up for the playoffs".  This team does not deserve that, and any half-decent coach should recognize that.

I've been saying this as well. He was at a level of 1st team all nba defense 2 weeks ago and something happened.

I love Singleton's rebounding + athleticism. I desperately want the Celtics to sign him this summer.

He'd be an excellent fourth big in the depth chart.

Actually, he said he was gonna keep an eye on minutes to make sure guys are rested with the back-to-back and the sched we have to close the season... Not that "we're not going to try to win"  ::)

if you are going to give this type of performance...sit all starters until the playoffs. they are going to be the 4 seed and they will get embarrassed by the cavs. i mean the cavs are going to put them in the grave

Try Daniels - give him a chance. I'm sure he's not happy sitting.

Yeah clearly that move has not made a difference at all in the larger scheme of things.

Sigh.

Was it this disheartening watching the Celtics in 2007 when they were truly awful?  I didn't really become interested in basketball until the '08 season (call me a bandwagoner if you like, but that's just how it worked out), so I don't know.

At least the '07 team had good reason to be bad.

Turning on the TV and seeing the Celtics getting blown out by yet another lottery team makes me feel legitimately ashamed and disappointed to be a Celtics fan.

What's more aggravating? That the C's are having trouble putting 30 points on the board in a half or that the C's are on a pace to give up over 100 points for the 6th game in a row?

Ugh...if you think tonight is embarrassing, just wait till the playoffs. :-\
