I know it's tough to say this but we can't be compared to Orlando, Lakers or Cleveland right now. If we look to the next Draft, we're dealing with teams like OKC, San Antonio and even Portland for spots 21 to 24. That's the highest draft pick that Danny got since the Big 3 formation.

Draft choice goes by playoff finish, not regular season finish.  So I don't think we will be drafting in the same vicinity of OKC and Portland  ;D

At that point in the draft, it doesn't matter that much.

Except for the Spur factor.  They seem to steal the player Ainge (or the fans) like.

George Hill.

The pick at that point is just the latest player that posters here obsess over.

Until he gets cut at mid-season.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

Not always.  Only JR was a complete bust with no trade value out of the 1st round choices Ainge has made.  The other 'busts' still had some trade value when they were traded.

Yeah.

I think the Celtics had been more interested in trying to fill out the end of the bench with cheap players that might be able to play.

No kiddin. How good would Hill be on this team? Looks good at the point, can lock down 3 positions on defense(I've seen him shut down Kobe), and knocks down the corner 3.

The Celtics confidence levels are sketchy. They aren't equipped to handle losing more games prior to the playoffs. All this losing that they've done since Christmas has shaken the team's belief.

The C's have bravado, cockiness, they say the right things ... but confidence is doing the right things when they need to be done and this team does not have that.

Boston needs to put their best foot forward to finish the regular season strongly to give them the best chance of playing well in the playoffs. They cannot afford to purposely lose games because they lack belief.

I was watching Splitter in a Russian league game on NBA tv yesterday, I know it's a small sample size, but he really didn't do much, he's active around the boards, but didn't show any range, even had some trouble finishing insde...
