Hmmm....I'm glad you were at his trial, ACF. I'm sure he wouldn't want a gossip flame thrower for a friend, either. If it wasn't a money hunt, there'd have been a trial.

The woman didn't want her personal life laid (no pun intended) all out in court. Who can blame her? Yeah, she slept around. As far as I know, it's still possible for people who sleep around to get raped. Kobe's a terrible waste of human life.

Thibodeau made for all kinds of speculation of a replacement for Rivers.  When Laimbeer was mentioned, similar cries of blastphemy were heard.  I'd take Bryant in a heartbeat.

Bryant is the most talented player in the game and plays as hard as any player in the NBA at both ends of the court.  He's won championships with two completely different teams.  Unlike the messiah, he's not bleeding narcissism.

Yeah, I'm all set.  I'd consider it a dirty title (as Kobe is a rat of a person), and I wouldn't want to be a part of it, personally.  However, I expect most fans would disagree.

TP to original poster for a very thought-provoking thread.

What I have found as I grow more Mature (I use that word vice "older" ), is that some players that you thought would Not be good for The Celtics would in fact be great for us.

This kind of thread opens up a HUGE can Of Worms...what position would he play, etc.....

I have just briefly read the thread so far and I saw a few comments on his issue with the case with the woman. Well my thoughts on this is that I forgive him. Yes Kobe made a terrible mistake, but the good thing is that he has not done it again. He seems to geniunely love his wife and kids.

I could not keep Kobe off of the Boston Celtics Team any more than I could keep Magic, Kareem, Jerry, etc.

For me, I am learning (slowly) to not dislike a player just because they play on our Arch Enemies.

I certainly respect other posters who may see things differently than I, though.

Kobe wants to win..no less than Bird or Michael. He has improved as far as getting his teammates involved as well. Sure he still has some lapses, but he has gotten better.

I'll always dislike LA..just because . But if a wormhole opened and Kobe fell into our laps, then sure he could wear the Green.

Our biggest problem?  Our whining doesn't get us anywhere. If you watched the OKC game, you saw how KD didn't even had to whine to get the calls. We're a tech waiting to happen. I blame it on Stern.

So, as far as you know, he did it.....Glad you were there, ACF.  I didn't realize there were witnesses.  She didn't want her personal life "laid out in court" but had the deep integrity and character to fleece Bryant publicly.  

Give me a freaking break.  You don't like him...I get it.  Bryant screwed up.  I get that too.  It'd have been interesting to see how you weighed in on the Iverson to Boston rumors.

We'll never know the truth because he bought the victim's silence....just like he saved his marriage with a $4 million ring. I don't know if he is guilty or innocent...but to assume that someone is not guilty because of the absence of any witnesses makes no sense to me. Innocent people don't hush up their accuser by means of $$...just sayin'.
