Hey, I understand everyone is bummed that we lost tonight, and that our Celtics aren't looking like a contender.  But I enjoyed most of the game tonight and I will still root for our guys top to bottom.  For many of us, each game is a new game and a new opportunity to win.  Granted, Cavs on a Sunday doesn't look too good for this unit, but I'm still gonna be fired up and cheering for PP, KG, Rondo, 'Sheed and the rest of the Celtics to take the Cavs down!

GO CELTICS!

Does anyone else just want this team to go away?  I am so tired and bored of watching them.  I used to get so fired up for C's games.  Even when we were losing a record number of games with Big Al and the kids.  But watching them is just so uninspiring.  This team could easily get knocked out in Rd 1, and quite frankly it would save all of us fom wasting several weeks of our spring.  Just get it over with.

I thought this game was a lot of fun, until the final few possessions.  If they would have pulled it off I would have been ecstatic.  Instead I'm bummed.  That's the rollercoaster.

Well on to the next game I guess. I can't believe how quickly this home-stand spiraled out of control. Hopefully every loss counts as a learning experience.

Did they ACTUALLY call an offensive foul on Perk there? Just making sure the league is actually this ridiculous cuz its hard to believe. This like watching a retarded seal try to run karaoke style on a sheet of ice.
Yes, apparently when you're getting pushed, and the other playing is running around you several feet away, it's a foul on you. Nevermind that someone is falling on the three point shooter in the corner.

It's simple -- refs wanted to go home.

Ah now I understand. Well it feels good to have an explanation. I was afraid I was gonna have to ask the question again and maybe get fined 25,000 dollars. I do deserve it after all -- I disrespected the Gulag.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

  • It's not hard to work hard.
Jeepers, Creepers.

The Celtics just don't have it any more.

I just think that Danny and Doc made some bad personnel decisions since winning the 2008 championship.

I can't place it on any one thing but this is not a very good basketball team right now.

I think Doc Rivers will be replaced after the season ends.

I don't get this. I don't see how it's Doc's fault that KG and PP got really old, really fast.

The Celtics didn't win a championship in 87 or 88, and that wasn't because the players didn't want to win or because KC messed it up. Players get old, players get hurt. It happens and it sucks but I don't get the hysteria.

And where was Nate in the 2nd half? The last thing we need is to get Rondo burned out for the playoffs.

I have tickets to that slaughter.

But good for you bringing optimism. Always a nice thing to see.

Sometimes any explanation is enough.  I do hope we've saved you the $25K.   ::)

We (Celtics) gotta look deep in our hearts and make the extra effort to defend.

On most nights we would have won this game.  The Rockets hit an unreal amount of 3s/circus shots and C's missed an unreal amount of gimmes and free throws.

It happens.
No, it happens because the starting 5 collectively can't defend.  If you notice, when the 2nd team was in there the first half of the 4th and actually got after them, they weren't hitting so many shots.

1.  Checking the box score (couldn't see game), it looks like Quisy has been officially passed in the rotation, and is now 3rd wing off the bench behind TA and Finley?  Is that true (makes sense to me)?

2. And did Shelden get minutes at the expense of BBD (finally)?

3.  And Ray Allen?  Fountain of Youth?  How was he quick enough to stay close enough to foul someone...anyone...6 times?

1. looks that way
2. not enough of them, but a few and he seemed to fare pretty well
3. though there were a couple cheapies, Ray did pick up some uncharacteristic fouls.  I think one time he just ran into his guy.

I have no Doc issues tonight, except for the fact that we didn't foul when up 3 and the Rockets scorching from 3 point land. Even liked Finley off of the bench shooting the ft's.

And I won't fault him for the full Rondo game because the second unit sucked with Nate running it and was great with Rondo running it.
