Banner 17, when 3 superstars were brought together and sacrificed individual glory for the greater goal by imposing their will on the NBA with defense and hustle for 82 games plus the playoffs.

                  OR

Banner 18, when an ageing(sp?) team summoned forth the strength to bring it home again, despite a rollercoaster of injuries and ability to "bring it" every nite, and proved all the naysayers wrong.

I'll take the first one, since that's all I have right now!
I gotta be honest, it's going to be hard to trump #17, especially with that epic win over the Lakers.
Celtics fan for life.

Except that number 18 may be another epic win over the Lakers.

How about we win Banner 18 first then try to decide which is sweeter? Just a thought.

Though even if we do win it all this year, I still think 2007-08 would be sweeter because it came after a 22 year drought and was not expected while many people were expecting a championship this yer.

You didn't get the Banner 18 memo? It's the one dripping with green kool-aid. ;)

Just trying to have some fun and keep it light...

Okay. Then strike my first line then.

I still think, looking back that it would be real, real tough to beat that 17th banner. Best bounce back season in NBA history. One of the best defensive teams in NBA history. Win the championship and do so by beating the LeBrons, Detroit and the Lakers in consecutive series!!!

That was pretty freaking sweet!!!

TP!!
