Speaking of shoes:

Does anyone know why the Celtics don't wear black shoes with white laces anymore? I loved it when they did.

It's not a trivia question. I'd just like to know.

Anyone?

there was an unwritten rule that they would only wear black shoes for both home and away games.  however, when danny took over, the players lobbied to him for a change so that they could wear white shoes at home, which danny agreed to.

the black sneakers go back to the days of Walter Brown & Red. they figured that black shoes would show less dirt and could be worn longer - save money. no joke. then it just grew into a tradition ..............

a tradition i wished they had kept - one more of the little things that set the Celtics apart from the rest of the league.

but, i guess if you are going to have the dancers, you've pretty much sold out anyway - at that point, what difference do the color of the shoes make ??

I like Rondo's a lot. He seems like he switches them up a lot though. I think I've seen him with those low top ones that Kobe (throw up face) wears. I think those are kinda sick.

I don't know shoes that much but what is with Rasheeds and the gigantic straps that are on the back of them? Is he supposed to pull those on the heels are are they really supposed to flop around like that? They are so weird.

I like Pierce's, Kg's and Ray's. It was pretty sick when Ray was hiding his old bball shoes around boston for fans to find.

I used to love Antoine's Adidas bball shoes and I would rock them in middle school basketball. I can't find a picture of them but they were SICK!(and ugly as hell)... They were Black with three big white stripes coming from the toes and go off to the side. I still have a Walker poster in my room in my parents house that says "walk this way" and he is sportin them in the poster...... I should see if I can find them in my house somewhere, those would be sick to wear now haha

I never understood how Rasheed wears AF1's. If anyone has played ball in them I am pretty sure you will agree.

Now watching what minimal movement he requires of his feet in a game, it makes alot more sense.

This might have something to do with it. Looks like he is the only person who hasn't moved on.
