21 min 16 pts 7 reb 1 stl  5/8

My favorite part is that he had 10 ft attempts!
I love his ability to get to the line so often. It
is ridiculous and AWESOME how many fouls he can draw.

Tom Ziller wrote up a piece on his performance,
http://nba.fanhouse.com/2010/03/21/leon-powe-breaks-out-for-cavs/
and noted that while Powe put up 16 his 11th game back,
Glen Davis hasn't put up more than 15 all season (41 games).

  • Rondo = Good
a) Those points came against Detroit, a team starting a 6'7'' center.

b) Leon Powe is one more knee injury away from being retired.

Can't I be happy for the guy?

Powe's always been able to score, the issues have been on the other end of the floor.  I'm still a Powe fan, his inside scoring is something this team could really use at times (if 'Sheed would play inside consistently, it's be a nonissue).

As to being one injury from retirement...  it's not like he signed a five-year contract.

I'm waiting for the playoffs....  Powe's scoring at will over a gimpy KG...   sixteen points in the first half...   Doc turns to Sheldon Williams with the instruction....  "sweep the leg!"

terrible joke.  Powe plays good defence, and he will get his defender in foul trouble and off the floor anyway when he attacks the rim.

I like Leon, and really glad he's doing o.k and injury free, but let's not do another 'we should have kept him' thread. Decision has been made and history will tell whether it was the right move.

I'm happy for Powe but I have no complaints about Big Baby.

No impact even less athleticism than when he was in Boston.  I hope he has good luck with health.

He's sort persona non grata to me for leaving when he should have taken the min from the only team that thought he was worthy of NBA pick.  Then of course his brilliant comments (lol) concerning the C's defense after the Cav game.  Do yourself a favor Powe and say no comment from here on out.

No offensive game very poor defender.

Agree with move to let him go.

Happy for him that he is back on an NBA contender contributing.

Hope he doesnt get hurt again.

Look forward to follwing the career of a great guy who helped us win a title.

I'm happy for Powe although I don't think comparing Powe's season to Big Baby makes any sense.  Unfortunately for Powe it won't matter once Big Z and Shaq are back in the Cavs rotation.

In yesteryear news, Leon POW! is no longer a Celtic. Still happy for him. Better role model than LeCrab Dribble.

I'm happy for the man, but he is the enemy now, along with Lebron.

I'd like for him to average 19 pts and 9 rebounds...all the way up until he plays us.

Let him get his big payday..he deserves it. Just not at our expense.
