In all seriousness, hasn't Rasheed roughly implied that this is the case?  Not to say that they're going to sweep opponents, but I believe he's been on record saying that he's holding back moves, etc. for games that count.

Not sure I'm buying that from him (could just be laziness); however, it's at least possible they're holding back some things.

Steve Weinman: I just gave you a Tommy Point for quoting Omar Little.

"I'll do what I can to help y'all. But, the game's out there, and it's play or get played. That simple."

Thanks, GJP.

I'm kind of obsessed right now - watching through the series for the first time on DVD with my roommate (a Wire veteran), and we're absolutely sprinting through them.  Four seasons down, and no question it's the greatest show I've ever watched.  Omar, of course, is one of a kind.

Sorry for veering off topic.  Back to your regularly scheduled plots to dominate the basketball world come spring.

The Rockets game was just an intermittent test drive of Fo' Fo' Fo'. We could have beaten Houston by 30 points if the program was in full effect.

They won't be doing too many test drives of this tank roll for the rest of the regular season. A lot of it is a body, at work. If you recall Jason Stratham's "Death Race", the monster tracker trailer was kept a secret 'till the 2nd to last race of the film.

This is important. When the Operation is unleashed... starting game one of the playoffs, each team will have exactly 2-3 nights to make the adaptations. By then, it'll be too late, as a full sweep with be in motion.

Is TitleMaster Red Auerbach's or Tommy Heinsohn's Grandson?

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

The following message, between special agent "Karla" & Dwight Howard's trainer, has been intercepted and decoded...

Quote
Karla to DHT... there's a real cuttle butt in Celtics camp, and it doesn't look good. My only recommendation is that Mr Howard practices Three Pointers, Sky Hooks, and Dream Shakes non-stop from here till the playoffs. Mr Howard may need to score every point for the Magic against the C's. I can't get at the specifics of the blitz but it looks very real, from the chatter near the entrance of the facility. The locker room is sound insulated and the tracking bugs seem to have their transmissions jammed by some MIT Lincoln Lab equipment. Apparently all of this equipment is top secret clearance so the moles in the Boston area tech facilities can't get any details. I repeat, this is not a drill, Karla out.

The win against the Mavs last night was just to detract suspicions of Operation Fo' Fo' Fo'... just in case. That's the only reason. But come April, the league will be shocked! They'll wonder where our offense & D magically came from, that has been missing for months on end, and by the time they figure it out, it'll be too late for them to try to fix the damage, and then it will be Celtics moving on to the next round... :)

That's why Sheed has been saying for weeks now, that they were saving it for the playoffs, & that the team will be different and "TURN IT ON" come playoffs... Turn on what you ask? Turn on Operation Fo' Fo' Fo'!!

Doc and PP are just trying to take away attention from the operation, so they say, "there's no such thing as waiting till playoffs", but we know players and coaches lie...

Sooner or later... BAM! Celtics win #18. Simple as that.
Yeeeaaaa!!!

Yea, Sheed did stink yesterday, and had to open his mouth about the whole retribution thing with Dirk, but nonetheless, Sheed is the only one openly talking about saving it for the playoffs... hes like the poster board for it. And plus, we're not in the playoffs yet, so Sheed stinking last night doesn't matter...
