OK, I edited the title.  I know it was a typo, but the Beavis in me couldn't handle seeing "tittle" in the title w/o snickering.

Come on now!! They saw it didn't work last season, so why continue to put the Cavs up there again on that pedestal again? The Cavs choked last year in the playoffs, and it will happen again.

They can play excellent in the reg season, but once the playoffs come by, the team except for LBJ will struggle and choke, leaving the King to the do it all by himself, which you know by now, wouldn't win a championship.

It's like the Cavs last season exit in the ECF has totally left the minds of the media. Like it never existed...
Yeeeaaaa!!!

Well, since no team has shown an ability to consistently beat them this season (other than the Bobcats?) it's understandable.

All of the "contenders" have had rough stretches this year except for the Cavs - unless you want to count opening the season 0-2 as they figured out how to fit Shaq into their game-plan.

They were 66-16 last year, and it will be more than likely worse this season.

Exactly... How was the situation any different last year (besides them having a better record last year)?? They are one of the few teams in history to win 66 games and not make the finals. How is this not being brought up at all? I don't really care but it is funny how it is not even mentioned. The Cavs got SMOKED last year in the playoffs

The point is...who else should be the favorite?  One of the teams that have looked crappy for significant stretches this season?

Yeah, the media didn't want a Celtics VS Lakers final at all a couple of years ago.   ::)

As for all of the role players who are going to collapse:  I am pretty sure Shaq and Jamison aren't known for tucking their tails and hiding in the playoffs.

Cavs are playing completely differently as compared to last year.  I guess only time will tell as to what will happen with them.

I wonder if the Cavs will have either Big Z and Shaq by the first round of the playoffs; the way LeBron is playing in their absence he might not have much left in the tank by the time the Cavs play one of the top 4 seeds in the East...if LeBron chokes this season do you think he'll finally enter the NBA dunk contest? I mean our 5'9" back-up point guard has won the dang thing 3 times!!   8)

By the way, I don't see the Cavs making it past Vinsanity and the Magic, and if Kobe is in the Finals again this season (3rd year in a row) he and Phil Jackson will eat the Cavs for dinner...

Vince Carter w/ the Raptors was like watching Jurassic Park, obviously he doesn't have his old hops anymore but he is still an above average perimeter shooter...

Actually I think Jamison will do just that. I mean, the guy can't shoot a free throw right now because missing one messes with his head too much. Well thats according to him at least. Those are free throws in meaningless regular season games. I'd like to see how he handles, you know, games that matter..

The Cavs are playing completely different than last year. Last year they were better and were unbeatable at home

That's what I heard. Also Lebron is the best passer in the history of the NBA. Spread the word.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

I just finished reading "Top of the World," and all I have to say is never underestimate the heart of a champion. The Celtics will NOT being going down without a fight this post-season.
"The emblem of a warrior, it's the swagger of an athlete, a champion and dynasty, it's gifted, golden, genuine and glorious. It is a lower-case god. It's the goat. The greatest of all time. What's G? It is the heart, hustle and soul of the game."

When did Antwan had a good play-off run?
When was the last time Shaq had a good play-offs?

because you win more than 60 games in the regular season does not mean that they are champions and are Invensible ... look at Charlotte 3-1 vs. Cavaliers this season
would happen if they would face in the first round of the playoffs?

Jamison has always been a decent playoff performer; he's got career averages of 19.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, and a .486 eFG%.

The same thing with Shaq; last time he was in the playoffs (2008), he averaged 15/9; the year before that he was at 18/9.  He lost in the first round both years, but that had as much to do with the team around him.

I personally think the Cavs have a stacked team going into the playoffs, assuming everyone is healthy.  I think that if the Celts play a great series they can beat them, but it will be an uphill struggle, I think.
