Wait a minute... Arent the pats now two games ahead of Pitt and we beat them head to head so should we have top seed locked up?

Or is it because the Jets can still technically win the division?

You are correct, the Jets can still win the divison, that would knock the Patriots to the 5 seed.

Ouch, but that would mean the Jets would have to beat the bears and bills and we would have to lose to the bills and dolphins correct?

I feel pretty good about our chances.  I actually like our chances against the dolphins better than the bills, but I think the bears will beat the jets on sunday either way.

Yes the Jets would have to win out and the Pat would have to lose out.

Then the Jets would win the AFC East based on a superior division record to the Patriots (4-2 versus 3-3 since they split head to head)

The Jets could win out, though I think my Bears will at least give them a tough game. (I actually think if the Bears clinch tonight they might let next week slide enough for the Jets to beat them)

I don't see the pats losing both games however, they should be set with the one seed.

Is anybody else getting a little sick of the non-interception streak for brady.  Everytime there is a batted ball we have to hear all about it.  Part of me is thinking that it may even be getting into Brady's head a little bit, and causing him to tighten up on some throws.

It is pretty amazing though, especially when you consider Favre has never taken two consecutive breaths without an interception.

Definitely amazing though I'm not as impressed after watching the last two games. He's been very accurate overall, but there were three dropped pick chances last night?

Once you're making the right reads at a certain point its down to chance. Tip at the line, bouncing off a recievers hands, or does the DB just drop the rock.

Yup a couple of dropped picks last night and the dropped pick by Harris I think in Chicago.  The Charles Woodsen dropped pick last night should have ended his streak.

But that pass and then the Brandon Tate passes were both throws that Brady normally is alot more accurate in throwing, which is why I wonder if the streak may be effecting him a little bit.

It was a good game(surprisingly) that came down to the wire..unfortunately for my Packers I knew they would lose the game on that one drive they had 1st and Goal at the 1 yard line and could only muster a FG out of it instead of the TD...I've seen Tom Brady run his team down the field in the 2 minute drill way too many times before.

Count me as someone getting irked that GB was taking their dandy old time to get down the field..had they needed only a FG I wouldn't have minded but since they needed the TD it was a bit different. It says a lot about what they think/know Tom Brady can do in even the smallest amount of time. Also, not sure if they were just taking what they could get but usually when you're trying to hurry your way down the field you pass to the outside so the receiver can run out of bounds and stop the clock..I'm surprised I didn't see any of that.

Also, I just wanna say that I had the honor of watching the game on my brand new christmas present from my GF.  A 42 inch sharp 1080P tv.  It was like watching a whole new game.

Flynn has certainly opened some eyes tonight, and raised his trade/contract value, I think. ;)

Our bend but don't break defense can make any quarter back look like the next coming of who else... Tom Brady lol.

I think it was more from the pressure that the GB defense was giving Brady than anything else.

Green Bay's defense was very effective.  Rushing Brady up the middle rather than from the outside really flustered the offense at times.  Also, the Packers played some extremely good man coverage during those blitzes.  Combine those items and you're going to fluster a lot of QBs in this league.

I think that game was a great test of the Patriots resolve and puts them back on their toes a bit.  There had to have been some sense of complacency that had settled in on the team.  Especially with a unit so young.

wow the bills are running all over the Pats on this first drive. The pats are vulnerable against teams that can run the ball and keep Brady off the field . Cleveland and Green Bay did the same thing.

Agreed.  The other type of team that's a threat is the type that can put up points in a hurry (Chargers, Colts).

In any case, Chicago doing some nice work on the Jets right now...
