Unbelievable ... Butler is singlehandedly losing this game.

What horrible end-zone coverage ... I'm disgusted with this defense.

Yeah, makes you realize how big of a loss it was losing Bodden for the season.

On the plus side, Devin McCourty looks good.

  • Rondo = Good
Well, it was nice to believe for a week or so that the Patriots would be better this year.  All of the same key problems seem to still exist despite the new additions.

Mainly, Patriots are still weak on defense and it's still too easy for opponents to adjust their defense to stifle the Pats' offense later in games.  Brady doesn't look like himself and Moss is unspectacular to say the least.

Oh well.  Can't wait for the Celtics to start playing.

Yup ... and Welker might as well still be injured ... where was he?!? No plays to the TE's ... very little run game up the middle .... I don't get it. The defense, understandable, but the offense ... befuddled.

The Patriots leading receiver today was a TE, 6 catches, 101 yards for Hernandez.

Pats couldn't run the ball in the 2nd half. The Jets covered for passing, and did a good job. The Pats are starting to look like last season. Plus their defense (lack thereof) made Mark Sanchez look like Peyton Manning.

Yeah ... should have been spread around much more ... there were multiple times when the TE's were wide open in the middle, and Brady was only looking to the wings, (Gronkowski was open a great deal).

Anyone watch the game between Pats and Bills?

I was unable to, because of family obligations (apple picking! -- which was quite fun).

Good to get the W, but the growing pains with the young defense is tough.  It looks like Patrick Chung continues to impress, whereas Darius Butler continues to disappoint...

One thing I'd be curious about: any indication (eg: from camera shots of the players on and off the field) that Vince Wilfork is trying to be a leader, trying to rally up the younger defense players?

Defense still isnt where it needs to be.  7 points came from a kickoff return and the two picks we had against fitzpatrick werent impressive.  Our O is going to carry us through alot of games but the D has to get better

How about Laurence Maroney yesterday starting for Denver?  12 carries for 24 yards, just awful...glad to see it wasn't a case of the Pats misusing him.  Still, it's frustrating to see a first-round pick become a complete bust.
