Dear Sheed,

Please take a charge or go for a legit shot block just once instead of just fouling.

Sincerely,
Effort

I would like everyone on here to write that same letter to Rondo, PP, Perk, and a whole host of other Celtic players who aren't giving the effort that they should. If you have watched Sheed throughout his career you'd know that he plays this aloof style. I would like him to box out on the weak side a bit better and not let guys like Varaejo continue to get weak side rebounds and put backs, but the guy has switched from only chucking threes to a lot more shots in the post.

He shot 215 threes through the end of January and then only 35 in Feb and only 17 through the last game. That is about half of the threes that he was shooting prior. Everyone whined about it and now that he has changed this everyone is still whining. Maybe you just have a personal grudge?!

Blame Sheed all you want, but the main reason we aren't playing well this year is the starters. THEY are the ones who should be getting the nasty letters.

I bet he blocks BBD in practice heck of a lot.  amiright?

No it could never be personal grudges from C's fans...ironic to say the least.

Well, to state the obvious, Rasheed isn't THE problem, but he has been a big part of if. That much is clear. Why are we to give him a free pass for the first half of the season when all he did was shoot 3's? Why are we giving him a free pass now just because he's shooting less and still not hitting?

If you watched Sheed his whole career, he was always, at the very least, a strong defender. This year, that is simply not the case. He's pretty much been useless offensively and defensively not much better.

Rondo may have instances of laziness, but he is having a career year. Ray has a higher FG% than the championship year version of himself. Paul is shooting 46% (better than last year). Perk is averaging a career high in points and FG%. Rasheed has just flat out been a liability out there. Do the starters go through points when they have been lazy and bored? Sure, but overall, I think we all agree that outside of KG, everyone has played decently well. Certainly, no one has been nearly the disappointment that Rasheed has been. Unfortunate really, we have him for two more years too.

I might add - his propensity for technical fouls is costly as well, considering the rest of the game doesn't make up for it.

Dear Rasheed,

It is not a foul to box someone out for a defensive rebound. Please, spread the word to your teammates.

Actually he's mellowed on the T's quite a bit lately.  Bring back the T's if it bring back some effort.

Dear Tarhole,

I've never liked you. And even having green on hasn't changed that fact.

I do blame Rasheed for the Cavs game. How can Varejao get 17 points and 10 boards in 30 minutes on 6 for 8 shooting? What hope do we have when opposing frontline benchplayers are tearing us up?
Its gonna get ulgy when the Cavs can go 5 deep with Shaq, Big Z, Varejao, Hickson, and Jamison. Our big offseason signing went 1 for 8 with 4 boards in 17 minutes. This was a important game for momentum and yes Wallace has to play better.

You're giving the starters a lot more credit than they deserve. We are playing .500 ball since we started 23-5. Much of that has to do with the lackluster effort starting off games. Other than the two recent blowouts of lottery bound teams that continues to this day. Pick and choose the stats that you want, however on the defensive side of the ball Rondo has been lazy. So has PP, so has Perk, and Ray and KG have been old and injured respectively. When you start a thread ripping the starters and their lack of effort THEN you can move on to the second unit and an old Sheed who likely is also saving himself for the playoffs.  Sheed in 20 min a game is still putting up almost 10 pts, 4 boards, and almost 1 block this season. I bet his numbers look even better in the playoffs.
