Satring with the Houston game, which kicks off a 9 game string of games that are all fairly tough...if we go 7-2 over them, stay healthy and beat Clevleand at the tale end of it...

I predict we will be going to the finals and will most likley raise #18.

There is no way any Vet laden team cna look at that schedule, coming down the stretch and claiming to be able "to focus in and gear up for the playoffs because they've been bored" and not be geaked and wanting to tear up that schedule.

If they go 5-4, we are most likely done for this year, early exit. If we go, 7-2 or better, start thinking about #18.

Doc says they're healthy now. The players say they are waiting for the stretch run.

Show me.

Thoughts?

I agree, though unfortunately our record against solid teams suggests we won't even go 5-4.

One other thing to watch (besides the W/L record) is point differential and/or blowouts.  I really wouldn't be surprised if Dallas really hands it to us on Saturday.  I'm hoping we can match Houston's physical play without getting T'd off the court.

cautiously optimistic??? not me. i am into fermented kool aid. gallons of it. i am excited and happy about the celtics in the playoffs.

heck, in all likelihood this is the final chance for this celtics team to win it all.

so, that means this is the last time i get to realistically entertain ANY hope of a championship for many years.

i dont plan to waste my time worrying, pouting, fretting, wailing, gnashing my teeth, or being negative. no siree bobalamees. :)

i am cheering the celtics, i will enjoy each victory, and i am waiting for #18 this year.

and yes, i would like another tall glass of fermented kool aid, thank you very much.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Obviously it all depends on health but that is a given. Beyond that, I am optimistic. This team has been 'healing' all year and barring serious injury or serious aggravated reinjury we should get playing our best ball of the year before year end. If we can just get KG and Paul playing better this team can go a lot further then it looked a few weeks ago. Don't forget what Rondo did last year in the playoffs, throw in a more healthy KG and hopefully Paul, Rasheed and Quisy and even Finley has contributed and we look poised to surprise a few people and teams in the playoffs. Cleveland and Atlanta are our two toughest matchups and hopefully we wont have to play both.

I predict if the celtics win the majority of each game in each round in the playoffs, they will win the title

Not a bad prediction.  But I don't like any prediction.  The fact of the matter is that the C's could go 9-0 and get swept in the first round or 0-9 and sweep their way to #18.

Unlikely?  Yes.  But we've seen stranger things happen.

Well, Game 4 of the 2007-2008 NBA Finals (and many other Celtics Victories over the years) shows me that Anything is Truly Possible with the Boston Celtics.

Every Poster here stated something very possible, in reference to these remaining games.

That is the beauty of it all - we just don't know how this is all going to play out, but I'm Optimistic. We're Boston.

Certainly. And it also seems like this is going to be a season where the teams that score more points will win the games. And I predict that if the Celtics can do that then they will do well in the playoffs.
