he really is playing the exact same character. I don't mind at all, but he is.

Yep.  Sadly, though, Swearengen was one of a kind.

I really like the character interactions and dialogue with each other.

Good premiere, will continue to watch.

I rarely watch TV shows, but watched this one 'cause it was mentioned here, and I did enjoy it.
It had a few surprises that I didn't see coming.

I'm still crossing my fingers for a Deadwood movie eventually... Rome is getting one after all.

Actually, he's supposed to be there. That's all I'll say without spoiling Rome in this thread.

Just watched the second episode, and liked it a lot. Seems like the show will be a combination of episodic and serial story-lines, which is pretty much the best way to go.

Looking forward to the rest of the season.

Yeah I am also enjoying the new show as well. Lovin the quick draw deal he's got goin. He's "justified" in shooting someone if they draw first but he still gets em. Definitely gonna be one to keep in the DVR this year. And Walton Goggins is awesome.

Show got renewed for a 2nd season.

I caught up recently, and the last 3 or 4 episodes have been very good. I particularly liked the one with his father in it.

I'm really starting to appreciate Walter Groggins..I was never a Shield fan, but I like him here.

I love this show, it is just behind Treme and Fringe on the list of shows I cannot wait to see every week, and it is ahead of Supernatural, the Comedy shows, and whatever other drivel I watch. Flashforward. It's ahead of Flashforward too.

I need to give Treme a try, hearing good things.

Seeing Lester Freeman and Bunk Moreland in different roles, without automatically assigning them the same persona was the biggest thing that bothered me. Completely different, but ridiculously well developed characters.

Tonight's episode was excellent.  I loved seeing the Deadwood reunion between Seth Bullock and Dan Dorrity.

Dan Dorrity is the most underrated bad donkey of all time. That scene where he kills Captain Turner in season 3? I mean...wow. Just wow.

Not gonna link to the video, because it is VERY graphic, but it's the first one featured if you click here.
