Yeah, but if you say something loud enough and often enough---the public will take it as the Truth...That's how the whole Jordan, Greatest of All Time thing started---or Ali's "I'm the Greatest"..Not saying they aren't,but BIGMOUTH people get the most attention.....I'll take Magic Johnson/Larry Bird/Kareem/Russell/Wilt over Jordan...and Joe Luis over Ali.
Substance, not hype.

We live in a capitalistic society and as long as he is making money for NBA/media channels etc. etc, he will always be the best at something or the other. We can't be rational with all those statements/claims. No amount of ads/marketing/pampering can mask the fact that he has won ZERO rings so far. Jordan won 6 rings....he has earned the right to brag. But the Queen on the other hand reminds me of the King in the story 'Emperor's new clothes'.

PLEASE.

You realize he's the best player in the league right now?

Van Gundy occasionally makes a good point, but it's painful to have to listen that that trio. So much LeBron love, so much talking about themselves rather than the game, and actually thinking that they're funny. And Breen for some reason seems creepy to me, like some kind of android feeding lines to the other two.
But since I was too lazy to switch to the radio for sound, and figured that sometimes it's good to get an outside perspective, I listened to them. Give me Marv Albert any day of the week.

He's making money for NBA/TV because the majority of people know that they are watching a legend in the making.  How old was Jordan when he won his first?  Lebron has at least 10 more years to win a few.

Do you think that ABC told Van Gundy to say "He could be the best passer of all time"?  And he agreed even though he doesn't beleive it?  If you listen to them they are obviously going off the cuff, they're not actors with a script.  Is it that hard to beleive that Lebron could be the best at something?  Is it that crazy that when someone brings it up you think conspiracy?

If he played like a pass first point guard I think he'd average 15 assists.  But you'll never know because he is busy scoring 30 a game.  It's a specletive argument.  It's not like "Who has he most assists"  It's almost like arguing "Who has the purest shot".  For best passer it comes down to accuracy, speed, creating passing lanes, court vision... you can't quantify it with stats.

These ABC announcers were SICKENING Today---Van Gundy and Jackson start talking about how Lebron is the Best passing Non PG of All Time---and Van Gundy says it used to be Larry Bird, and Maybe Lebron will end up being the BEST Passer EVER!
Of course, Jackson says, Hold on there, Magic Johnson is the Best passer ever...I guess if Lebron had created the world, we'd have a 6 day week---cause of course, he'd do it better than God---What a couple of IDIOTS.

Give me a BREAK----Lebron?

LBJ wouldn't even be in the same discussion as Larry were it not for the rule changes in the past two decades, particularly the hand-check rule.

Let's see LBJ get as many assists with forearm shivers and hand checks.  Not gonna happen.

You guys really need to pick a side with the Cavs.  Lebron averages close to 7 assists a game.  Now, he either has good teammates who just convert on normal passes or he has a bunch of 'role players' around him that need him to create and set them up with great passes.  Which is it?

Question: If LeBron moves to the Knicks in the offseason, will you still be such a booster?

Note -- I am not hoping that happens, I hope he stays in Cleveland.  Seems a great thing for the city (and state).

Lebron is a great passer.  I think he has a legitimate argument for best passing forward ever (although Larry has not given up the crown yet IMO), but I think he still has a ways to go before being in the conversation for best passer ever...or at least best playmaker ever.

He does have the ability to be the best passer ever IMO, but I think he is still learning how to consistently balance his scoring and passing, which puts him behind most of the other great passers.

Either way, this was clearly just a comment meant to stir up controversy.  Comments like this are made constantly on these national broadcasts.
