Good or bad, I love the NBA and my Celtics, and I'm NEVER in a rush to see the season end ... I'd just as soon it was 11 1/2 months long. ;)

I am going to be on a vacation....out of the county...so I might end up missing half of the playoffs, which sort of s***ks, because I have sat through the games where we had the toughest losses in; and I still believe that we are not going to give up easily in the Playoffs regardless the heart and effort we are showing at the moment (and I might end up missing most of it.)

LOL...call me crazy but I am still not ready to buy into the whole window is closed, because if great regular season records won championships then Cavs would be repeating this year; but at the same time it really hurts to see the C's struggling/playing the way they are.

Show me a team that played sub-.500 ball in any other season between Christmas and March 14 and won the championship that year. It may have happened once, but I am highly doubtful. This team has no chance at teh championship this year.

Dang straight -- the further away the playoffs are the better it is for the Celtics.

Unfortunately, the playoffs are coming too quickly for Boston.

Your right, there is no solid backup proof in history to support the belief that C's still got a good chance at winning it at all; but then again sulking and screaming 'doom and gloom' through my posts aren't going to get me anywhere as a fan.

I mean am not trying to say anything bad to those who like the post the 'harsh reality' of the team, but am just the type who will still keep believing in the team (it doesn't mean I don't see we are struggling and that we have a good chance at getting knocked out of round 1.....but at the same time...I won't give up on the team.)  :)

The Washington Bullets? They were barely above .500 for the season so good bet they were that poor for that long a stretch in their title season.

Also, the 1969 Celtics team. I reckon they were there or thereabouts.

There was a team that on Christmas Day was 22-10 and then on St Patty's Day was 44-34 going 22-24 in that time that did win the championship

Yup, you guessed it

Very close on the Bullets -- they were 18-18 in that same time frame. As for the 68-69 Celtics, they were 22-22 over the same time frame!
