Doc should throw whatever offense this is out the window. At this point it can't get any worse. The offense has NO IDENTITY. Might as well just let the guys chuck off pick and rolls the entire game. I think our only problems offensively today were with the bench.  They played too long as a 5-man bench unit and they all sucked offensively.  5-25 from the field, 7-11 from the line, 0-6 from 3. 

The starters shot about 50% from the field and better than 50% from 3.  Their only problem was turnovers, the most painful of which were the back-to-back blown post entry passes by KG and Rondo.

True. The bench was god awful. Why has Doc gone away from playing Ray or Paul with the bench guys? I thought that formula worked pretty well.

With Rondo and Perk in the starting line-up, Doc has been loathe to play them without Ray/Paul on the court, and so playing Ray/Paul with the bench too often resulted in them playing 40+ minutes.  

Now that Finley's shooting and Nate's ball-handling are available for the bench unit, Doc is more comfortable letting Pierce/Ray rest during the bench time.

When the offense is running smoothly (rare I know...i got it) it is an effective offense. Great ball movement and solid shot selection. We get open 3s and KG in the post controlling the passing from there. It worked today early on, KG in the post...if he can make a move and score do it, if he can't, he looks for cutters. We need to send it down to him more often.

The pick and roll is really an effective play for us. I love the 1-3 with Rondo and Pierce, he can get the PG on him and take him to the FT line.

We do need more plays for Ray, that is for [dang] sure. When he scores the offense just feels smooth. Comin off picks and poppin out for the 3. Great penetration by Rondo and Pierce.

Throwing the ball down to Perk in the post has to be one of the worst offensive ideas ever created. He has 2 moves, the hook that is hard and short every time or the little dropstep half spin and fade from like 5 feet. I'm alright giving it to him every once in a while but not too much.

Rondo needs to be aggressive or we go nowhere, this is not a new realization for any of us I assume. When he goes, we go. He drives, it opens up the shooting areas for Pierce, Ray, and KG.

The bench O is terrible, just flat out p--- poor. Rasheed in the post is solid (when it happens), Baby and his put backs need to stop. Nate at the top with a pick and roll has seemed to work. Baby setting his massive picks and Nate shooting or dishing it off on the roll is good. Quis on Lebron today was just laughable. Never gonna work, let's all be honest here.

I still have faith in the offense, but the crazy substitution experiments and patterns are not good for the integrity of the offense.

It just simply isn't effective when we do the good ole' Swap Five!

Guess i can understand him not wanting to play Ray/Paul so many minutes. Btw....was anybody else surprised with the lineup Doc had out there in the 4th? I think that was literally the first time i saw that lineup. I think it was Nate, Paul, Finley, Baby, and Wallace. I could be wrong, but there was a really strange lineup out there that i had never seen before. I thought that was so strange.
