He is going to come around,. he extends the defense. he is a veteran. sho what if he is lazy? so what if he plays no defense? so what if he is under 30% from 3 point line? so what if he has ignored your public plea to him to limit three point shots. i mean, it is only mid march....he will turn it around. after all he is a veteran, and you know that veterans win! ignore that minus 17 he put up  on sunday. so what if we were within 6 with lebron on the bench when he decided to take over the offense and before i blinked, it was 15 and the game was over!

keep trotting him out there, doc. it will work eventually.

I gave up on Sheed about 2 months ago.  Some fans think he is going to turn it around come playoff time, but I think that is the biggest piece of crock I've ever heard.

I have written about 3 or 4 threads on Sheed and I am about to start a new one in a few  >:(

DITTO

I think all Celtic fans are sick of this lack of effort.

I am making a poll about Sheed...

I am not sure if I am going to cool down or not but only days after I actually lobbied to START Shed, I almost threw upp watching him play today. He cost us the game almost single handedly. It was unbelievable. I mean there were plenty of other reasons they lost but his play was a glaring and obvious one.

Two major points in the game were the tipping point in Clevelands favor. The first was after Ray hit the 3 to tie the game, KG and Rondo have two HUGE turnovers. The second is when Sheed bricked 3 straight shots, and Cleveland kept coming back and scoring every time on the other end. Wallace is brutal. He just plain sucks.

I agree with this.

Those TO's were really bad....and then I hate when we get desperate behind the 3 pt line. Drive to the rim....if you can't hit the shot...you at least have  chance of getting fouled.

Oh and another thing....we have said it nonstop and it might never happen....but please Doc bench Sheed. He hurts us more than helping us.

Sheed shouldn't have played today. The matchups weren't there for him.

Wallace causes the Cavs great problems on the perimeter when matched against Shaq or Ilgauskas. Neither player can play adequate defense away from the rim so he regularly gets great looks at the hoop. Neither player plays adequate pick and roll defense so Rondo can usually get easier dribble penetration. That is an advantage for Boston.

However, when those two players are out for Cleveland ... the remaining Cavs big men can effectively neutralize him on the defensive end and are capable of taking advantage of his lack of mobility on the other end of the floor.

I'm open to the idea of dropping Sheed from the rotation altogether and giving Glen Davis 25-30 minutes a night. Let Shelden Williams get some scrap minutes too.

I'm not totally sure it's the direction I want to go in but I think it's worth considering.

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
Doc's rotations (once again) left a lot to be desired today.  Going with five bench players when Lebron is in the game, for instance, isn't exactly a recipe for success.

Doc doesn't have the balls to play Baby and Shelden or Shelazy. This team needs youth and active bodies, Sheed is neither. This team needs rebounders and defenders, Sheed is neither. It is that simple Sheed got to go. Play Glen and Shelden, and Celtics instantly become a better rebounding team.

not by me. i was one of the few against this signing when it was a rumor and i was right then. i have never wavered on sheed. i wish i was wrong about him, but i was not. he is one of the worst signings in recent memory. two more years of this clown

Sheed's stink-bomb against the Cavs is currently overpowering the rank odors emanating from Perk's game for the past two months.

Our big man quality shows a very, very steep drop from KG to the rest right now, which is all the more depressing because of how unimpressive KG has looked since returning from injury.

If Doc were to reward the starting 5 gig based on recent performance, I think he'd have to give it to Baby and let Sheed/Perk take turns coming off the bench.  Baby's the only guy currently hustling, rebounding and rotating out of our 3 center options.

Sorry, Sheed is a detriment to this team in every way ... offensively, defensively, emotionally, psychologically ... he produces next-to-nothing on offense and even less on "D" ... please, Doc, don't play this guy anymore!
