Jason Kidd is a lock for the hall of fame. Excellent court vision, excellent defense, and a master of the fast break. Kidd has never been a good midrange shooter. He scores a lot of his points from behind the arc. Instead of Rondo trying to master the midrange game, why doesn't he take a page out of Kidd's book and perfect the 3? Maybe it's just me, but when the defense is sagging off Rondo, he always tries that pull up jumper, which never goes in. When the D sags, why doesn't he just learn how to back up a little bit and drain those 3s like Kidd does? We saw in the horse competition that he could shoot them.

Kidd is probably the best point guard ever to not dominate the ball. Rondo is more like Nash, Paul, and Williams, who all love to dominate the ball.

Also, I see your point, but I wish Rondo would do more simple passing to the Big Three, rather than shooting. He has shot enough this season. There is no reason for Rondo to be almost attempting as many shots as Pierce, Ray, and KG.

I think the coaches ask him to shoot more...probably for two reasons:

1. the big three aren't as capable so they want Rondo to help them out and become more capable himself
2. he's the future of this franchise so they want him to be more self sufficient for future championship runs

Kidd was never a good 3 point shooter. ONly until recently (he's 37) has he started to become pretty goodn from behind the arc. I think Rondo has some time to develop that part of his game. He's probably about the same age  right now that Kidd was when he entered the league

Get married and knock his wife around a little? Sorry, I just had to do it because I can't stand Kidd.
