We should always remember how great these guys have been, what they have given to the game of basketball and given to us. They are still our heroes, no matter if they are injured and losing some energy because of it. They gave the Celtics the Championship and we were so proud of them. We're still so proud of them now in their time of hardship and will never forget their amazing achievements and devotion to winning and the courage to fight for it. Ray is uninjured and still just as incredible as always. I pray that KG and PP will heal completely and be able to find that fire and energy again.
Let us never forget their truly amazing gifts to us and the game.

I'm very thankful the big three are here.  It's looking like we'll only get one year of them in their near-prime, but the trades were still worth it.  I've thoroughly enjoyed seeing this group play together.

I will always love the Big 3 for the championship they brought us and for making the Celtics relevant enough to get me interested in basketball.

If it weren't for the Big 3 I probably wouldn't be an NBA basketball fan, and no matter how disappointing the Celtics might be in a given season, NBA basketball brings me a lot of enjoyment.

So even thought they're declining and not playing with much fire or competitive ability anymore, I'm still thankful for the Big 3, and I always will be.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

My first year watching basketball was the Celtics Championship and yes, they and all the other players made me just love the game and won my total devotion. Now, to me, watching the game is on my top 5 list of the most enjoyable things in life.

I do love the Big 3. I still can't believe how perfectly they meshed together both on and off the court. It's a shame to see them struggling but seeing the revival of quite a few players over 30 this season around the league I haven't given up on them getting the timing right in the future so we can have pre-knee infection Paul + post-deadline Ray + December KG together.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

Always a big fan of Paul and Ray. And to a lesser degree KG. But they need a different name other than "Big Three." First if all only one of them is big. And most importantly there is only
one TRUE Big Three and they had 33,00 and 32 on their backs.

Haha this thread is making me feel old!  But yeah, they've been a blast to watch.  I wish we could've made one last run, but whatever.  2008 more than made for any bad times ahead.

It's still like a dream to me that KG and Ray are dressed in green, and I will never tire of watching my Championship DVD's and remembering the Finals Series against the Fakers when Pierce shut Kobe DOWN. Whatever happens, this has been an amazing ride, and we owe a lot to these guys for their hard-wrok, dedication and sacrifice.

There may be a lot of people who will lessen their achievements by saying that to really be called one of the "Greatest" teams they needed to win more than one championship, but personally, (despite the majority of opinions to the contrary), I don't think they're through yet. ;)

TP for a great thread to my favorite new CB member, MMBaby!

I'm still grateful for the Big Three and it's been a joy watching them play. Of course the championship comes to mind and the magnificient 2007-2008 season too, but even when we didn't go all the way to the end it's been a pleasure to watch these three guys play together or sometimes take over games when we needed them to (Pierce in game 5 against the Bulls, Ray in game 6 with his 51 points).

Now it seems we're at a crossroad with these guys, and that's part of the reasons why I dont want to miss a single game, because I don't want to miss anything that's left of them. I don't believe that they are already done or can't perform like they did before. I think KG and Pierce will get better in time for the playoffs. But this season is clearly is their "last ride" and I want to enjoy it as much as I can.

The Big 3 brought the Celtics back to relevance, and for that alone, it was all worth it bringing them together in green. Winning banner #17 against the Lakers is obviously the high point of their era. Going back to back (and getting #18) would have been incredible. However,it was not meant to be. Injuries to key players have made this season extremely painful to watch, knowing "what could have been" had they been spared of such. We saw how dominating last year's team was, til KG went down. This year was full of promise. The team stormed out of the gates and piled up one victory after another and looked poised for another finals appearance, only to be slowed down once again by injuries to key players. Now we have no choice but to go to war with a Big 3 that's tired, battered, and bruised. As the playoffs loom, we aren't really sure of what would happen. Will they make one last push for the finals, or crash out of contention in the first round? Your guess is as good as mine. One thing's for sure though, I'll be here to support them, win or lose.

After watching them tonight, I don't think they're at the end of the road either. Wow, didn't they look great!!!!It was sure feeling good out there.
Drucci, me too, don't want to miss a single game. You said it! They are legends, really, and such a pleasure to be able to watch them.
