Who would you rather see win the East - assuming, of course, that the Celtics won't manage it (which seems very likely at this point).

Personally, I can't stand LeBron.  Even though I'm a little bit annoyed by the Magic after the C's lost to them in the playoffs last summer and the heart-rending losses to them this season, I still would much rather see Dwight get another shot at a ring than LeBron.

The Magic and it's not even close.

Depends.

Who do you have coming out of the West?

The Magic didn't give you any faith on Sunday?

Lakers or Mavs.  Unless Kenyon Martin gets healthy for the post-season, I don't see anybody else out West who could get to the Finals.

I don't care either way, though.  I think both the Magic and the Cavs have what it takes to beat the Lakers, and if the Mavericks make it to the Finals, I'll be cheering for them (unless by some miracle they're facing the C's).

Its not that at all.

There are just some team matchups that I prefer more than others in the Finals.

What's your ideal non-Celtics Finals matchup?

Out of the possible realistic matchups, my ideal would be Mavericks vs. Magic.

In terms of any possible playoff matchup, I'd like to see Spurs vs. Bucks.  That would be a tough, gritty series with a lot of defense and some great storylines (especially considering neither team is favored to get out of the first round).

I can't stand the Cavs so I'd prefer the Magic.
I think their coach whines to much these days but I have no problem with the team. I respect what they did winning 2 rounds without homecourt to get to the finals. Getting past Cleveland and the refs was an admirable feat all its own as I know well from experience.

I would love to see the Mavericks win a Championship. It would be great to see Dirk get a ring. They're the non-Celtics team that I'm pulling for the most.

In the East, I don't really care when it comes to Orlando or Cleveland. I greatly enjoyed last year's Magic team but this year's edition isn't nearly as enjoyable to watch. Too many under-performing pieces (Vince/Jameer). I don't think they deserve it.

Atlanta would be the team I'd love to see win the East but I don't think that has a hope in hell of happening.

I'd prefer New Jersey v. Minnesota  ;D

Ideally, I'd like Dirk and Jason Kidd win their first rings. Then Carmelo, because I'm not sure he may have as good a chance again. I'd also like Lebron to win one ring, just so that those who say Kobe is better on the basis that LBJ has never won one will shut up.

Some (Non-Celtic) NBA Finals I'd like to see that could potentially happen:

Magic/Nuggets

Cavaliers/Nuggets

Cavaliers/Mavericks

Magic/Mavericks

Cavaliers/Jazz

I'm fairly certain New Jersey was mathematically eliminated from the playoffs around January. Minnesota can't be far off either.

Cavs, it will keep Bron Bron out of our division.

What does it matter?  After this year we won't be contending for quite some time anyway.

I still don't understand all of the Lebron hate. Sure he is self centered but he just so happens to be the best player on the planet. A player of his caliber doesnt come along too often and if he manages to keep improving and win a few titles he may well go down as one of the top 5 players ever! Obviously if we dont compete I would rather see the Cavs then the Magic.
