What's up Celts fans. I have been here before but haven't logged in a while and I guess mods decided to terminate my account so I had to sign up again, all over. Work and other things have kept me extra busy but from now on I promise I'll post more often.

I look forward meeting and getting to know all of you C's fans.

Short bio about me:

Male, 24yrs old from Boston, MA. Train and fight full time, MMA fighter for Dragon MMA, CageRage and Sityodtong organizations. Love Celtics to death and all other Boston.

I was so happy to see C's win banner #17 after 20 yrs of sucking. Now, this Celtics team is flat out done, toast.

I don't care what they do, even if they bring LeBron James in they are still toast. Why ? because of CHEMISTRY and PASSION. This you cannot teach or preach about it. You just must have it.

And finally, the true reason why Celtics are done and why we fans might never see another Championship in our lifetime is because of:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwe-3ThdzSs&feature=related

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=45BF_uHvcNc&feature=related

And without this type of KG: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gke8C-0I8u4&feature=related  CELTICS ARE DONE!

Those clips bring tears to my eyes. 07/08 TEAM would wipe the floor with this current team, hell even 08/09 team when KG was hurt.

Why do we play badly:

KG will never be the same. His knee will never be the same. His age is preventing his knee to hold up and heel properly. Nothing Danny Ainge or Doc Rivers can do about this. He also lost a lot of intensity. He is nothing more but a solid bench player now. The KG we knew is unfortunately done.

We have a good bench but these players just don't mesh well.

Powe/House/Sam Cassell/PJ Brown/Posey these group of people knew their roles, were hungry and our starters were just looking to kill whoever they played. The window has officially closed. To be honest, I am looking forward to rebuild with some younger, athletic crew. As much as I love big 3, they are just too old and don't entertain me anymore. The money they get right now they really don't deserve half of it.

So, relax, watch whatevers left of this season and expect to get an early boot from the playoffs.

Well, chemistry is certainly and underrated ingredient to any competitive team. And, KG and Paul for that matter may never be the same. I do think though that both will play considerably better sometime soon. I will have to disagree with you when you say that if Lebron were to come here this team would still be bad. It's kind of a moot point but still.

I'll go on record here as saying this team will play considerably better soon. Injuries can deplete a team of much more then just chemistry. That can all come back quickly though as players get healthy. It's starting to look more like it's a long shot I know but I still think this team will look much better by playoff time. We may still get eliminated early but my gosh they can't look too much worse.

Welcome and allow me to give you your First Tommy Point.

While I still believe that the Celtics will turn this around, I must admit you posted some moving youtube clips.

The "Mix Fundamentum" is my Absolute Favorite, and I have watched it with my sons and they like it, too.

Well, I can't sway people one way or the other, but I will say this:

Don't Give Up on These Celtics. Right now, they are the Proverbial Frog that is in the SeaGull's Throat - with only his legs and arms sticking out. The only thing that is keeping them from being swallowed for the season is that they have their hands around the throat of the SeaGull.

I can't find a picture of that, but I'm sure someone else can and feel free to post it in this thread.

Never Giving Up.

And I don't think KG is done..this is the same man that won Player of the Week just a few months ago....took Miami apart with like 11 consecutive baskets made....went beserk in the OKC game, taking them apart by himself in that third quarter...hit the Clutch Shot against NY to win it.

Has he looked like himself lately? No. Do I think he's done? No.

Will Boston win a Championship playing like they did last Night?

No, Nyet, Negatory, Nope.

Are they done for the season?

No, Nyet, Negatory, Nope.

Every opposition team still respects our play and believe we are one of the contenders. Yet, our own fanbase has written them off. Anyway, this is what Lionel Hollins had to say after last night's win:
Quote
“I just want to say though, it’s a big win and we are happy with the win. But we know we caught the Celtics on a down night. They played back-to-back, had to travel home from a tough game last night in Milwaukee. They’re still, in my mind, one of the top three teams in the East and they’re going to show that as they go forward into the playoffs. We caught a break that helped us, and we’ll take it.”

and Rudy Gay:
Quote
“(The Celtics) can take a game over at any time. They are a great team with great players, Hall of Famers. You can’t ever feel safe. They have come back from bigger deficits before. You have to play them like we are the ones with our backs against the wall.”

What I'm trying to say is, others still believe in us...its time we did too. Difficult times should make us better...not bitter.

Wow... The Celtics from those videos are a totally different animal. (TP)

Hopefully, some of that intensity will return in the playoffs.
Maybe some of the springs in those steps will return come April.

I don't know... Our chances aren't great, but maybe that will make the outcome that much sweeter.

Call me a masochist, but I plan on enjoying the ride no matter where it ends.

ANYTHINGS POSSIBLE!!!

If difficult times should make us better, shouldn't the team be getting better with every game?  Why does it seem like they are regressing?  I  think these times are making the team question their abilities more.  When outsiders look at the Celtics, they see 3 HOFers and a group of guys who won the title 2 years ago.  I honestly don't think the rest of the league follows the Celtics the way we, the fans, do.  This team is suffering from age, injuries, lack of athleticism, lack of synergy from not playing together all year and lack of trust for one another (especially on the offensive end).  Every negative moment and difficult time is just magnifying the problem, not making the team better.

TP for being a full time MMA fighter, saying that is no easy task could not be more of an understatement.

Everything in that quote was directed at the fanbase. Not the team.

Oh man the 07-08 video....now that's what I am talking about.

That's what the Celtic basketball is all about. The ball movement shown in that video is amazing....we would drive our opponents nuts by keeping the ball moving and it would usually result into us getting good shots. That is one of the key factors missing this season.

Oh man, those videos just made me weep. What golden times they were. Though we wish for nothing to change, nothing can ever stay stagnant. Time keeps marching on whether we like it or not. But how I wish we could go back.
AFter watching these, more than ever I feel the injuries have caused the breakdown of energy, which effects every player on the team. Ray is still with us, but KG and PP are hurting. They really aren't 'old', they are injured and their ages make the injuries worse. When one doesn't feel good physically, it is so difficult to have motivation because of the deficit in energy. I pray, mostly for them, that their energy will come again and that they will remain the warriors they are till the very last moments.
Thank you for posting these. We should never forget how our Big 3 are truly incredible guys. We should never forget what they have given basketball and given to us.
