He may have not done such a great job here in Boston but it looks like Chris Wallace has redeemed himself in Memphis by building a pretty good team there.

It's too bad he drafted Thabeet instead someone who can play, and it's too bad they aren't going to re-sign gay. Other than that, Wallace has been better than average.

Thabeet still has plenty of time to develop into a very solid asset.  All of the better players in the lottery would have required a lot of touches, and the Grizzlies don't have any touches to spare with their starting lineup.  Other than Rubio - who might have refused to play for them - I can't think of a better fit for the Grizzlies amongst the players taken in the lottery. 

If Thabeet develops well, I could actually see the Grizzlies trading him to the T-Wolves in exchange for Rubio.  The Grizzlies would have the great distributor they need and the Wolves would have an actual center who can play defense.
