As of right now, in terms of full NBA standings, as if you were to combine both leagues into one, the Oklahoma City Thunder would be 1...that's right, 1 game behind the Celtics.

It really is unreal to see how both teams have done this season.  I, along with many others, didn't see the Thunder being THIS good.  Or at least sustaining this play for this long, but they have and I give them credit.

And of course we all know the surprise of how this C's team is doing this year, all the expectations and what not.

So what's the bigger surprise?  The Celtics struggling as much as they are or the Thunder being as good as they are?

It has hurt to see us hitting rock bottom due to injuries which has disrupted out chemistry big time.

But putting that aside I would have to say what Durant has done with the Thunders is amazing. The team as a whole has achieved a lot...so deffo kudos to them and all the effort they have put in the regular season.

Thunder definitely.

It isn't a big surprise that The Big 3 have struggled as they have gotten older/had to deal with the NBA's corporate marketing schemes/had to bounce back from injuries...

Both. Easily, at least to me.

What is so Baffling to me right now is that Boston defeated OKC just a couple of months ago.

OKC is a Much Younger Team. Paul Pierce matched Durant nearly point for point in the first half of that game, then KG took over in the third and went crazy.

How could we easily beat OKC and now be struggling?

If you are talking about just the record then the Thunder for sure.

The Celtics going below 500 since Christmas? Well thats another story

The Thunder are on track to win almost 50 games this season.  Considering they were so bad last year that they hardly won 30 games and they ended up with the 3rd pick in the lottery, you'd have to say they are far and away the biggest surprise this year.

Considering the fact that the Thunder don't have a real starting center on their roster, and the fact that they are a very young team with tons of potential, it's almost scary to ponder how good they could become.

Now THAT is a team that could be winning 72 games a few years from now.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

The Thunder are a much better team than the Celtics at this point and will wallop the Celtics at the end of the month.
The beatings will continue until morale improves
