They aren't quitting. They have already quit!!!!!

Sorry, but it was obvious quite some time ago that Doc lost his team. I think Danny has some managerial tasks ahead of him, or this team might be a 6th seed.

Eh, forget what seed the C's get this year.  Doesn't matter.  They won't make it to the ECF.

The big question is how can Danny Ainge get started on rebuilding this team?  If he doesn't make some bold, genius moves this summer the C's might be headed for a long period of mediocrity.

Right now the only player on the C's I would be sad to see go is Rondo.  Though it would be a shame if Paul doesn't retire as a Celtic.
I'd gladly let Rondo go in order to watch Pierce retire as a Celtic. Pierce will continue to age like Bird, but he's still my favorite player.
True Celtic = Leon Powe

Bring back the show!!!!

This is exactly the wrong strategy for this team.

Sentimentality gets you the 1990s Celtics.

The Celtics should be disgusted and ashamed.

and embarrassed. us fans pay money to see a great product on the court. but now, i feel as if they are takin advantage of us fans.

to the Celtics: don't tell us you have to do better. SHOW US. you deserved to get booed tonight....you can talk the talk, but can you walk the walk?

Yeah, we are watching clear evidence of a stressed out team. They've been broken by success, and no matter how much Doc yells at them, they physically and mentally can't put out the intensity that they used to. They will come to the playoffs and try to get up, only to find that there is no second gear.

Their half-court offense is totally broken. Go watch a tape from 1984 - the players grabbed the ball right out of the hands of the referee, even after a bad call, because they knew that the defense was going to pack into the lane (no D-3 seconds), and the only way to get a decent shot was to beat the other team up the floor before the defense could set itself. The only time the 2010 Celtics are effective are when they are running for this same reason. Unfortunately, only Rondo is fast enough to do it.

Sounds crazy, but if you try to run with Rondo, Ray and Tony/Quis at the core, and pick whatever two big guys you want to burn out in the process, it could work.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Hardwork beats talent when talent doesn't work hard.

This team has too much talent and not enough hard workers.

What we're lacking are the guys who do the little things.

Puleeeese! Product? Taking advantage of the fans?
I don't think they are purposely screwing up. I really don't. There's something wrong with the chemistry of the team that wasn't a problem in the previous two seasons. What it is...ya got me there. But I don't think us boooooing helps one bit.
Sorry. I understand your frustration and do see your point, but I think they ARE embarrassed. Maybe that will light a fire underneath..hope so.

I was at the game tonight.  It was most perfectly summed up by a fan I heard yell, "I paid money to see this game!"  We didn't run back on defense, we didn't crash the boards on either end, we didn't chase after loose balls (those 3 things lost the game right there), and we settled for jump shots.  Pathetic.  I'm running out of adjectives that have any meaning while not having yet been used.  I Booed.  I'm having serious second thoughts about not renewing my season tickets because I don't see us possibly playing with any MORE passion as we get OLDER next season.  My partner is already leaning towards not renewing.  (So if you're interested in getting in on some or maybe splitting a season, pm me.)

OK, usin the word "product" was bad, and sayin they are takin advantage of us was a little much, but like you said, hopefully a fire will be lit.

People shouldn't boo the team. They need our support and as fans we shouldn't pummel our team with negativity.

No way, not a fan of that idea at all at all.

I am the exact opposite. I would rather let Pierce leave early in order to keep Rondo.

I was also at the game tonight and hearing the boos fill my ears all around me, I was so happy to hear them, because I wanted the team to hear it, and feel bad, and just allow the booing to light a fire in them to start playing an actual game! I wanted to see them hurt and see that they were hurting their fans with that thing they called "playing basketball".

But then, I was conflicted, because as much as I wanted them to hear those boos and feel our suffering of having to watch that eye sore, I also didn't want the fans to boo, because I wanted the team to have a fire lit up in their butts knowing we supported them instead of bringing them down... That maybe us still going to games, and cheering them on, would give them motivation and lift up the garden and give them a boost in their lack luster game.

I dunno, I am conflicted still. Because I seriously don't know what will work to light that fire in them...
Yeeeaaaa!!!

this team is sinking faster than the titanic..

That is not how the Titanic sank. The bow went down first as the the boat broke in two pieces and pulled the Stern down. Bottom line is the same, though. The Celtics are completely dead. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
The beatings will continue until morale improves
