KG needs to act like a professional and be an example for the younger players.

KG needs to make younger players cry. If they can't handle the pressure, go play Nintendo.

Exactly, enough with this "lets all be friends" crap.

KG must be feeling his oats.  Now he's picking fights with 7-footers instead of 5-11 point guards.

Thats not entirely true. Just because he talks that way with "shorter" players also doesn't mean he spares the opposition bigs. He has gotten into tussles with Duncan, Pachulia, Amare, Bogut, Odom to name a few bigs. Besides, why are people suddenly so offended by this facet of KG's game? Thats what makes him KG. If you really want to control the way he plays the game, I suggest you buy a videogame (and maybe mute the volume..never know with KG  ;))

0-7...4 turnovers....And getting embarassed by an inferior player....

Great reason to further make an ass of your self trash talking.

It's like a college player who's team is down 20 getting a sack and standing over the quarterback.

Garnett needs to focus on his game.

Not trash talk.  Just plain trash.

Through first 42 minutes: Blatche 23 points on 10-for-18 FG, exactly his average for last month.  The Wizards lead by 13.

KG gets in Blatche's head.

Over last 6 minutes:
Blatche 0 points (0-for-2 FG), a turnover, 2 fouls of KG that led to free throws.  Without their leading scorer, Wiz score 4 total points.  Allen leads the offensive charge to balance the stifling D.  Celts win.

Not really seeing your point here, to be honest.  In your analogy, it's more like the college player that's down 20 repeatedly steamrolling the opposing QB and rattling him to the point that the offense crumbles and starts turning the ball over, contributing directly to a come-from-behind victory.

Some people just don like trash talk and I respect that.

I just think KG talks trash to motivate himself and his team.

He made alot of plays down the stretch that helped his team win. He had a D minus offensively in that game, but the rest wasnt bad at all, maybe a B+.

so, if KG would have made all those 7 shots and scored 14 points, the trash talk would have been justified? He had a simliar game back in 1996(0 fgs made)....I didn't watch that game but I can say this with confidence that he talked this way in that game too. Thats his personality on the court....it doesn't change with how many points he has scored. Plus, Flip Saunders thinks that trash talk was the reason we won the game. We won, the game is over and I'm sure Blatche is over it too...can we let it go now?

I don't have a problem with trash talking. But I must ask. If the way KG often acts on the court if he wasn't a Celtic would all of you be ok with it? I sometimes just turn my head when I see him acting like an ass. Mj,Bird and others are known for running their mouths. But you didn't always see it. KG is always acting like some kind of wild dog. Some people like it and some think it's a little over the top.

Personally, I have always liked KG on the court...even when he was in Minnesota. Once again, why are people suddenly against this facet of KG's game? I didn't come across similar threads last year or during the championship year. Thats who he is. He uses it for motivation...atleast he doesn't dance on the sidlines when up against a weaker team or storm off the court after a loss  ;)

Muhammad Ali, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant...they all do it/did it. Oh, Matt Barnes too  ;D

I've always said he's my least favorite starter for the Celtics. But he's a Celtic so I must pull for him.

Is making faces and talking trash to Bulls players as they walk by the bench ok? When you're not even playing or doing anything in the playoffs.

He's part of the team, he can do whatever he wants. In fact, for him he would've stayed in the locker room quite content. They wanted him in the bench? Then deal with it.

Yes, it is okay, as long he is sitting with the team he is still part of the team. Anything to give your team an advantage. Its only talk. He is not commiting a hard foul or anything like that. Every bench does it....Sam Cassell was doing it to Ray in the same game that started this thread. Fans do the same thing....they talk trash and heckle the players...rememeber the Big Baby incident in Detroit? What I'm trying to say is...it is very common in the league, has been going on for years and years and will continue.

I like what KG did in that game..and I hope he continues to do it. Whatever helps the team win. Besides, this is not the first game that KG has played this way.....he has been like this throughout his career. Speaking of making an opposition player cry...does anyone remember this dude...

 ;D

I remember it very well.  Ray Allen made him cry without even saying a word.  Well, he might have waved as he drove by!   ;D

I agree with you -- that's just KG.  But he's proven that he doesn't even need to be playing to be a jerk.  http://thebiglead.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/660123bf-372c-492f-8c12-07784935a4ab.jpg
