Quote
Blatche was noticeably upset and appeared to hold back tears as he explained his encounter with Garnett, which nearly got heated when Garnett approached Blatche and tried to wrestle the ball away from him. Blatche appeared to throw an elbow as Garnett continued to taunt him. Blatche later flung Garnett into a cameraman and sent him to the foul line for two free throws. Garnett smiled as he was helped off the ground. Reserve forward James Singleton said Garnett used his "veteran senses" to needle Blatche and get under his skin.

"I see myself as defending myself as a player. I'm a man, just like they a man. If a man is talking to me this close to my face," Blatche said, moving his hand toward his cheek. "I'm going to say something back. He has to respect me just like I respect him. I just, 'Get up out of my face.' He was this close in my face - I can feel his lips touching my cheek - I wasn't bragging saying 'Ah we winning.' It was 'Back up.' "

nice young player but needs to toughen up... at least he kept it together on national tv and didn't do this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzR60xPDLQs

Yeah..Celtics becoming Bullies again...it was Pierce last week with Stephen Jackson..now KG with Blatche.

Yeah it may be obsessive, butI love it.

Well at least Perk is toning it down..didn't he shrug off Varejao getting in his face during the last CLE game? Proud of him for that.

And Sheed has not received any Techs lately, right? So it's all good the entire team isn't bullies.

I think that if Boston can keep up this kind of In-Your-Face intensity, we will beat LA in a Seven Game series.

KG can/will get up under Gasol's skin..and Kobe will too tired chasing around Rondo/Nate and Ray Ray to be effective.

We need more of this....and from more players. I loved the fact that KG got into it even though he was having a bad game. We need someone like him coming off the bench.....someone who can get under the opposition's skin. Posey was good at that.

That's why we have NATE! He's a bull dog.

KG needs to act like a professional and be an example for the younger players.

KG needs to make younger players cry. If they can't handle the pressure, go play Nintendo.

The 'pressure' is their basketball game play!

Yup.  Play that suddenly declined precipitously right when KG got into his head.

if by professional you mean "maniacal intense player who has the ability to get in the head of an opponent to the point where they are visibly intimidated and afraid to take a jump shot at the end of a game that he absolutely dominated before hand", then yeah you are 100% correct. ;)

I like what KG did in that game..and I hope he continues to do it. Whatever helps the team win. Besides, this is not the first game that KG has played this way.....he has been like this throughout his career. Speaking of making an opposition player cry...does anyone remember this dude...

KG must be feeling his oats.  Now he's picking fights with 7-footers instead of 5-11 point guards.
