I have mentioned this in another thread but thought it might be interesting as it's own.  What I see when I watch KG lately is a man with a very sore knee.  I see him landing on one leg a lot, especially after dunks.  I don't see him favoring it less (ie it getting better).  I get the feeling he is just hanging on and playing through it, the warrior that he is.

Last year the Celtics weren't exactly forthcoming with accurate medical information on his knee so this year I have some doubt.

What is everyone else seeing?

I guess I'm just getting used to it (apparently so is he).  The times I really notice it is when he's running full force and has to stop quickly.  He definitely is taking pressure off the bad knee and putting it on the good one.  This does not bode well for the long term health of the good knee.

But yeh, I think he's sucking it up, and doing what he can do pretty nicely.
Yup

It hasn't healed completely but he looks like he is getting there. I think his knee will be in better shape as we go into the playoffs.

Not worried about it.

I thought KG was playing like a top 10 player in the league earlier this season.

Garnett still looks athletic enough to be an elite player. Not what he was two years ago but still elite.

As long as he keeps hitting his jumpers, I'm totally fine with him. Guys, this isn't 2003-04!! KG has been playing great lately!

I don't see the same thing as some others when I watch KG.  I see an old injured man.  It reminds me of watching a crippled Bird the last few years.  No way KG is a top ten player now.  Maybe a top 10 power forward.  He's still a good glue guy but he can't take over or dominate a game any longer.  He can't be depended on for much other than a few jumpers per game.  I love KG but he is a fraction of what he used to be.  If you really watch him you can tell he is always thinking of his knee.  He hasn't been free to just play and react to whats going on all year.  I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but that's what I see when I watch KG.

Maybe thats why he hasn't been able to play at the level we have come to expect from him. That also means, once he is healthy(I feel he will be there or nearly there by playoffs) he will once again be a very solid player.
I don't care if he is ever a top 10 player anymore. As long as he scores 15-17 points a game and brings his A game on the defensive end, we will be fine. We have Paul, Ray, Nate and Rondo to take care of the scoring...and who knows, Finley might a pleasant surprise too.

What is this crap of being "once again a solid player", have you guys been watching him for the last 3 weeks or so?

What he needs is for Doc to play him a bit more, instead of giving him those long rests he gives that at times takes him away from the rhythm of the game, and pass him the [dang] ball more often.

His current A game on defense isn't even in the same stratosphere as it used to be.

Which doesn't mean much as he's still one of the top defenders in the league... and getting better every passing day.

What I intended to convey by that crap is that he has been very good lately....and will only continue to get better as we near the playoffs.

TP... I've been saying for awhile that I think the offense should run through KG more often.  Even now he can create a decent look against anybody, and he's the best passer on the team not named Rondo.
