I was happy Danny didn't go after him, especially after seeing this article!

Another over pampered delusional athlete. His salary this year is probably guaranteed so what difference does it make to him?

Miami should never have signed Alston to play ahead of Mario Chalmers. Chalmers has always been the best starting point guard + best complement to Dwyane Wade for the Miami Heat.

The question is who is a better backup PG -- Alston or Arroyo? -- and I think Arroyo is the better choice because he's more of a ball dominant scorer/playmaker and that's exactly what Miami needs off their bench. They're light on firepower and can benefit from having a playmaking perimeter player on the floor when Wade is not.

Instead, though, they start Alston or Arroyo and use Chalmers as a backup ... which is a bad use of players. It doesn't maximize their talent levels.

I'm surprised and kind of disappointed by Alston's poor behaviour. The guy wanted to get out of New Jersey and managed to get back to the Heat, where he gets some playing time and a good role. Why is he messing up his situation like that?

Too bad for him, I guess he will probably retire soon. I wanted Danny to sign him when he got released early in the season but I guess Danny was smart to stay away from him, he would have complained about lack of minutes and probably would have claimed that he deserved to start over Rondo. ::)

He has played some decent ball lately...last i heard Chalmers was late to a couple practices and was relieved from his starting role a few months ago.

He's being unprofessional which I don't condone but can kinda understand. I'm sure he hasn't gotten losing his minutes in the finals even when Jameer wasn't playing that well and now losing his starting job to Arroyo and probably falling behind Chalmers in the PG rotation. I can see how he'd be ticked off.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

Because he wants to be a starter, but his game doesn't support that anymore.
