I was only kidding about Posey, by the way.

I think to have a good bench you need at least three players who can maintain the level of play close to what the starters give you.
They need to cover the forward, guard, center positions.
Finally, you would like them to provide a spark to the lineup (like Vinnie the Microwave!).

I think with Nate, Marquis and Sheed we match up favorably with anyone else.

2,3 games has looked good but they haven't proven together as a unit a large enough sample to say its the best bench...the cavs bench have looked the best so far this season.
Question is "Who has the best bench?"not who will have the best?

The Magic

Bench is about the quality yes, but also the number of looks you can give a team ...

I have to go with Cleveland here too. Verajo is a great, great bench player! He brings excellent rebounding, versatility and tough D. When they add Ilgauskas they really are the best. I think Rasheed will look a lot better though for us when his focus is shifted to low post D and the addition of Nate gives us an element a lot of benches dont have.

I think the Celtics could have the best bench. If Sheed got in the paint more and TA would just focus on D. Daniels fill's his role fine along with Nate. I also think Finley will help with floor spacing and cant forget the Great SCAL!

Le{edited}'s-geisha-jao is far from great. Watch him once he is without {edited} on the team....that guy simply feeds off of Le's energy.

I edited your nickname.  It's just a bit over the top.  Please don't use that one again - redz

LeBron's-geisha-jao is far from great. Watch him once he is without LeBron on the team....that guy simply feeds off of LeBron's energy.

Verajo is the most annoying and frustrating player to watch as an opponent. That is what makes him great though. He does so much to make a team better. What does that mean feed off of his energy? Like if LeBron wasnt his teammate, he wouldnt hustle to draw a charge? I dont get it.

I would take him on my team over all of our bench bigs.

When Cleveland lands Big Z, Ilgauskas will be a starter so I don't think you can count his addition as an addition to the bench until after Shaq returns
Pick 2 Knicks

PG: George Hill, Ty Lawson
SG: Ray Allen, Anthony Parker, Quentin Richardson
SF: Grant Hill, Matt Barnes, D
PF: Zach Randolph, Kenyon Martin, Jon Brockman, Dante Cunningham
C:  Nene Hilario,   Own rights: Nikola Pekovic IR: Kyle Weaver

No, he won't. It seems likes he is always trying to please his king when he is on the court. I have a hard time believing he will hustle and play this way on a team without you know who. Sorry, I hate him with a passion and I don't think he is great or a good player.

You're confusing great player with great bench player. No one would confuse Posey as a great player, but we all know he was a truly great nech player. Posey was also hated league wide by fans of other teams.

For the record, I hate Verajo too. In the 80's this guy would have been decked every game. However, I know enough to tell you that he helps that team win in many ways.

I cant comment on your speculation that he plays hard for LeBron only. Im not really sure how to respond to that. You must have spent a day in his shoes or something.

@ WeMadeIt17: Thats your opinion and I respect it. I can't explain it.....I just know that his game is going to taper away on a different team or the current Cavs team minus their arrogant king. Anyway...I won't say anything else about him...or their bench.

Well the Cav's don't even have Ilgauskas right now so I guess you can't include him on the Cav's bench right now either.

I'ma throw out a very under-rated Oklahoma City bench.  Nick Collison, Serge Ibaka, Eric Maynor and James Harden is a nice 4 off the bench with a lot of youth too.
do it
