Starters + Sheed, Daniels, and Nate = solid 8 man rotation.

Once Nate resigns, there will be 1,000% chance BBD is gone by next trade deadline.

Can't wait to see what Nate and 4 athletic defenders can do in 12-18 minutes:

Nate
Tony (vet min) ;D
Daniels
Larry Sanders (draft - rookie contract)
Williams

Could be a lot of fun if they commit to defense and running.

Bye Bye Ornery Child  ;D

Meet your replacement: 6'10" Larry Sanders in this summer's draft.

http://www.nbadraft.net/players/larry-sanders

"Post player with tremendous defensive upside due to his unbelievable length: has a 7-foot-7 wingspan (His arms need their own insurance policy) plus good timing and explosiveness ... Already a bigtime shot blocker and is on his way to becoming an absolutely dominant one. As a freshman he averages just 16 minutes per game but is already tied for 10th in the country in blocked shots at 3.0 per game. His block per minute average is the best in the country ... Very fluid and fast running the floor. Shows a solid motor, hustling the floor and fighting for rebounds ... Has excellent foot speed and lateral quickness for a bigman."

Doubt he's still available when the C's number comes up in the draft.  :(

Sanders is a top 20 pick probably top 15

The only way the C's have a shot at him is with a trade and my guess is it includes Perkins

Who knows, maybe the C's continue to struggle, land in the 20th position and get lucky he drops

Someone always drops

I'm loving your Larry Sanders Pick...the guy is flying under the radar, I think. He is a rebounding, shot-blocking interior presence, from VCU in VA..If Boston could somehow snare him it would be a steal..

I'm calling it right now, Paul George is my dude in the draft. I want him. I wonder if Patrick Patterson will fall? See DuJuan Blair and Leon Powe for examples. He's had those ankle injuries, but I'd love for him to replace Davis. Maybe a trade?

Solomon Alabi is another big I'd look at, he's a project but his potential shotblocking would be nice.

Either way, I hope Davis will indeed be Gone Baby Gone sometime next season.

The only way BBD isn't here next year is if Danny can swing a deal using him as an expiring contract next and can parlay him into another PF that has height and plays defense.

Ideally, I'd like to see Danny parlay him into a 1st round pick-->trade him to a team this offseason as an expiring contract to a team that's looking to avoid the cost of a 1st round pick for the next 3 years.  I don't know if BYC implications carry over after the first year of BBD's contract.  I thought that BYC only applied for the first year of those types of contracts but I could very well be mistaken.  If there's no BYC issue, BBD's contract isn't too far out of line with the $ paid to a draft pick.  The problem is that the C's won't have any other low-cost contracts to use with BBD's to juggle any salary matching issues.

I would love that.  BBD has gotten good at taking charges (something I wish Rasheed and others would do as regularly), but recently he's been playing in lineups where his defensive height liability is exploited by the other team.  The second unit going forward will really need some added length to protect the rim, but I doubt Sanders will be available.  Perhaps the Celtics can land someone else.
