I know it's just a couple of games off the bench and in limited minutes, but thus far (and for the record, I was solidly AMBIVALENT about him before he got here) ....   ....

I'm Lovin Nate Robinson

Who's with me?

I was for the trade when it happened and still am.

High energy off the bench is a very good thing on a team who might be "lazy".

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
I was worried about the fit, but he's looking better and better with this team by the day.

Nate is perfectly capable of giving us exactly what we need from him. He's a high-energy guy who can play the point, get in the lane, make things happen, and score in bunches. He's exactly what this team who seemed a little tired and unable to produce much offense off the bench needed. What separates him from guys like Sam and Marbs is the fact that he's young and healthy. I don't see him having any problems continuing to fill his role on this team as he's a proven scorer in the NBA. If he does have a weakness, it's that he can look for his shot a little bit too much but with the too often feeble offensive production off the bench for us, it's an asset not a liability. We needed an aggressive scorer so badly..

His ability to shoot AND dribble really helps the offense when Rondo and Ray aren't on the floor.

I'm really liking him in combination with TA.  Their energy can really speed the game up.

I'm old, but I like what I see.  Initially, I hoped he'd be an Arte 'Hambone' Williams type as a spark off the bench.  But he is clearly more than that.  Nate turned around 2 games in a row.  Already more impact than Eddie had this year.

So... count me as excited about Nate -- but it's really still all about KGs knees.

After tonight's game, Tommy made a good point. In the closing seconds of the game, in NYC, Nate would have chucked up a 3(and prolly at the wrong rim) but here he didn't. It might be a little something, but it's something showing that his peers on this team are influencing his maturity.

On a side note, I remember we ALMOST set the record for the Knicks for only allowing them to score fifty something points in a game(lowest in franchise history) but Nate chucked up a half court bomb and hit it.
Can't stop, Rondo!

I'm with you----I found myself hoping they could re-sign him already----while watching him play tonight.

Think Danny would sign him during the season, or wait until the season is over?

Yes to the shoot and dribble combo. The guy can get his own shot when needed. Thats awesome on the 2nd unit.

I agree with the energy backcourt with TA. Fun stuff.

The only person who may not be loving Nate is BBD.

Don't really need a short, overweight, pf who gets constantly stuffed. Dude fancies himself a go-to guy. And will be expecting a big pay day.

BBD = Danny's next trade chip.  ;D
