Asked about getting inside more, Wallace said, “That’s where I was born at. That’s my bread and butter. That’s what I want. That’s what I want. But if that play design is for that 3, then that’s what I have to do.”

He has made good on his vow to do more in the paint after the All-Star break. Prior to that point, 216 of his 431 attempts (50.1 percent) were treys. Since then, 24 of his 64 shots (37.5 percent) have been from the distance.

Wallace spoke of a certain unnamed opponent/friend.

“He was telling me, ‘Oh, I can guard you. All you’re going to do is go to the turnaround,’ ” Sheed recalled. “I said, ‘Dude, I taught you half of your (expletive). The teacher doesn’t show the student all his moves.’“You know, I don’t show my whole package during the beginning of the season. If you do, then that’s what’s going to be in the scouting report on me. So now, come money time, it’ll say that I’m going to go to the turnaround. Yeah, I’m going to turn around, but I’m going to go by you left, by you right, come with the jump hook. I told my buddy to look at it like a kung fu teacher. I might teach you the lotus and I might teach you the tiger, but I’m not going to teach you the crane, because the crane can beat both of them.”

It would be nice to see him become a dominant post presence in the last 15-10 games of the season and into the playoffs.

However, it seems to me that it's probably more a vet in denial of what he can still do.

Though on the plus side, for all of Sheed's shortcomings this year, scoring in the post has not been one of them (when he actually puts his mind to it).

News Flash for Sheed, the scouts have 14 years of scouting reports on you already. I don't think there is anything new you haven't showed them.

Looking at Sheeds shot chart tonight:

Wallace was 2-3 from the paint
0 for 2 from the midrange
2-5 from the 3 pt line.

Not exactly going to him on the blocks.

THat and his poor work defensively from review of the you tube tapes does not inspire confidence in me.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

As much people hate on Sheed, when he wants to be, he is our best low post player offensively (including KG).

I disagree, I think Kevin Garnett is better. He has a far more versatile + efficient post game and is a superior passer out of the post.

Rasheed brings more strength/heft/power in backing down opponents to create his shot but I don't think he's better overall.

That's the problem. It's always "he could" or "he can" but very rarely "he does or did." If he can't want to do the best he can every night when he's a Celtic then I've got no use for him.

People are going to knock on Sheed over anything, even the things he does well.

Sad.
