These players have no Celtic Pride anymore.  The team that purposely lost a few years ago just to get a high draft pick had more pride than this team.

I couldn't really care less if they had "celtics pride".  I just wish they had enough personal pride not to lay down.  This is embarrassing as a Basketball fan, not just a celtics fan.

I largely agree.  However, to play devil's advocate, if they do magically find a way to "turn it on" in the playoffs and win #18, will anyone really care?

Care that they won a championship, or care that they went through the regular season like a 6 year old being dragged to the dentist?

Wow - I just don't know...I just read the latest articles on the Blog main page and was taken aback some..

I know most NBA teams get bored....but they don't let the media know about it, am I correct? You keep that stuff in the locker room.

This is certainly a First in my time of being a Celtics Fan - an Admittedly Bored Boston Celtics Team.

In any event, I am sure they will turn it on come playoff time, but I wish they would get some momentum this month.

I know at least from my standpoint all will be forgiven (even the Nets Loss) once they Hoist Banner 18 in June of this year.

Well, I think it has been taken a bit out of context.  I don't think the players are saying "get over it, we're bored."  I think they are trying to come up for explanations for the bad play, just like we are.  They are basically trying to rationalize it, and by saying they are bored, allows them to still keep their confidence that they can put it together down the stretch.

These guys are reeling, and looking for answers.  The fact that they are admitting they may be bored, and acknowledging that they need to fix it, at least tells me they have realized that it is not working.

Both.  Will anyone care that they played the regular season like a 6-year-old being dragged to the dentist IF they win the championship?

I will a little. No matter what they do I won't feel the same way about this team as I did the first year of the "Big Three."
I liked everyone on that team and not everyone on this one. And I'm not a fan of how they've been doing things this year.

That said I still want the Celtics to win. I don't like how close LA is getting to us in banners.
Peace through Tyranny

Thanks, Chris..

Well at least they are starting to admit that there IS a problem...still a few weeks left before the playoffs and our schedule is lighter from here on out. Still enough time to right the ship.

We'll get back on track. If this was any other team I couldn't say that, but it's Boston.

Oh, if they win the title, all of this stuff is forgotten.
