As far as I am concerned, the seeding is irrevelent.  If they are completely healthy and hitting on all cylinders, they can beat absolutely anyone.  If they are not, they will likely not stand a chance against the Cavs, Magic, or Hawks, and could very easily be knocked off by the Bobcats as well.

I agree too -- If you can't beat an opposing team due to homecourt advantage then you are not good enough to be an NBA Champion.

If this team were championship timber - it has to win on the road anyway.  So seeding is irrelevant, aside from getting home court at least in the first round (which is a near lock).  

If we're healthy, we can win it all.  However, at this point it's clear - the national people who think that when healthy we are East favorites, are simply not paying attention.

They won't be able to get the 4th seed if they win the division.  Even if Atlanta finishes with a better record, the winner of the Atlantic will automatically get the 3rd seed.  The only way it would come into effect is if they then met the Hawks in the conf finals- then they'd start the series on the road.

Of course the way they're playing, perhaps Toronto will catch them and slide them to 5...

This is incorrect. Even if they win the division, they can end up with the 4th seed if Atlanta has a better record. The NBA changed how they seed a year or so back.

Wow are you serious?!  When did they change that, what year?  Because I remember back in like I think 2006 or 2007 the Nuggets getting the 3 seed and playing the Clippers or someone as the 6 seed in the first round and the Nuggets starting the series on the road.
