I am watching the Hornets/Mavs game and was wondering if Mo pete could be a possible buyout candidate for the Hornets? I think he would be very good at spreading the floor here and would enjoy coming to Boston. Really bored just wondering what you guys would think of him in green.

P.S. When is the deadline for Buyouts?

Tommorrow is the buyout deadline for players to be playoff eligible.  Haven't heard anything about him being a buyout candidate and as the Hornets have gotten below the luxury tax I think they are keeping their remaining players for their playoff push.

Wouldn't solve our rebounding problem.  Also wouldn't solve our toughness issue.  No thanks.

I think Mo Pete has another year on his contract past this season.

New Orleans have a lot of expiring contracts next season. They will likely keep them and try to engineer a trade to get Chris Paul some more help.

Anyway, even if Mo Pete was bought out, he is no longer a rotation caliber player in this league. He's lost a lot of his quickness/athleticism which has hurt him defensively and on the backboards + he hasn't been shooting the ball as well as in the past over the past two seasons. I don't think he's able to crack the Celtics rotation he's barely a serviceable fifth wing in the depth chart.
