Some promising games today. Now that the 1st game is over and I don't have to check my boyfriend's pulse every time the Suns make a basket I can actually sit back and enjoy the rest. Hope they're all as good as the Spurs/Suns one.

I find this Nuggets team intriguing. I'm very curious to see how they do in the playoffs. Their road record is average but they do play well on the road against the better teams. They are a better model of what a coasting team should do. Play well against the potential playoff opponents and slack off against the lottery team.

I admire Shannon Brown's composure in showing up on national TV after that anti-climactic dunk show performance.

Can't believe I'm sympathizing with Kobe but LeBron does that at least once every game I see and no T

Laughably poor acting on that flop by Artest.

Watching the Lakers being pushed around in the few games I've seen makes me wonder about the toughness they say they've supposedly acquired.

I hope Ty Lawson is OK. He's so small and feisty and fun to watch.

Very impressive what Chauncy is doing in his 13th season. Add Nash and Kidd and that's a lot of older PGs looking great this season. Hope Rondo can do the same when he's in his 30s.

Wow Afflalo. Impressive tenacious defense. He's having a very nice season in Denver so far.

I envy the Nuggets offense.

Finally the refs take pity on poor Gasol. He's been flopping all afternoon with no success.

If Denver had played like this against us we would've whooped their asses.

Yeah Denver got a steal for Afflalo since it only cost them a future second round pick. :o He'd be a perfect fit for the C's. Plays good D, takes care of the ball, can hit the three. That's what disappoints me about Ainge. Other than Nate, it seems like he only wants to bring in older veterans instead of young and athletic players that this team needs. Though I'm sure even if we did get someone like that Doc would just bury him at the end of the bench ala Giddens and Walker.

Very sloppy 2nd half by Denver. Up 11 now down 8.

Another acting job by Artest in a critical part of the game that gets rewarded.

At least the second big flop he got rewarded for in this game...

I hate this guy and his flopping, he is even worse than Varejao in that area of the game now. And his taunting reaction is pathetic, but of course he doesn't get a T.

To foul Carmelo out on that is ridiculous. That exact same flop from Artest was a no-call earlier in the game. The inconsistency is incredible. I notice Kobe hasn't gotten T'd up again even though he's done the same thing a couple of times that got him the 1st T.

I know. They added him to bring defense and toughness and instead he ends up developing the flopping aspects of his game. Methinks the marshmellowy softness of the Lakers is affecting him instead of the other way round.

Denver really can't blame anyone else for this loss except themselves (though the blame game after losses is more a Phil Jackson thing).  They looked so bad down the stretch.  Seemed like every play was a turnover or a quick three pointer.

Miami really should have made a move at the deadline.
I hope this ends up being a good competitive game and not a blowout.
Nice dunk D-Wade

They fine the players and coaches $25,000 for criticizing the refs.  They should fine the refs for compromising the integrity of the game by making "Tim Donaghy calls" like that one.  They had already called a cheapo offensive foul on Carmelo two minutes earlier.

That's one of the worst parts of basketball, the refs can arbitrarily remove a key player from the game.  In most sports you have to start a fight to get kicked out.
