Because if it doesn't... this team is going nowhere.

I have ben expecting and hoping for a statement game at home for months, to get some momentum back in Boston and get that "home swagger" back after missing it for all the season.

But losing to the freakin' Nets, giving them their 6th win of the season (!!) IN BOSTON... wow. This is pathetic, the worst loss of the season.

Now, if the Celtics are not embarrassed by this loss and don't react accordingly, then nothing will light a fire under this team. Nothing.

Too late for that. This team is dead or dying.

this was just plain depressing, at least in the sports sense, no words can really describe this loss

I certainly hope this loss lights a fire under them..Red is flipping in his grave I bet..

Talk about highs and lows...I just passed my hardest course so far in college, and then get home to this debacle...

I still believe in our team, but sometimes you just don't lose games.

I think the trick is to have the fire lit before you hit rock bottom.

The listlessness is tough to take.

16-11 at home now. You can light all of the fires you want, but this team is going nowhere this year. No team with any pride, no team with an aspiration to win a championship gets beat at home by one of the WORST teams in NBA history.

And the other 12-15 losses that we should have won shouldn't have already? At the beginning of the season this team was not a 15-20 loss team. Don't give me this crap about injuries either. GREAT TEAMS PLAY THROUGH INJURIES TO THEIR STAR PLAYERS! This team has no heart, I was afraid to jump to this conclusion but I've noticed it in prior games, even games that we've won. That fire we had in 07-08? I'm guessing we left it back there. That is the only thing that is going to right our ship, I'm just hoping that the heart of this team never left, they've just gotten too full of themselves. That can be fixed.
CB Draft - New York Knicks
PG: George Hill / Nate Robinson
SG: Dwyane Wade / Gerald Henderson / Christian Eyenga
SF:  Grant Hill / Paul George / Earl Clark
PF:  Kenyon Martin / Jordan Hill / (Earl Clark)
C:   Greg Oden / Kurt Thomas / Hilton Armstong

We have heard that THIS loss must light a fire under us about ten different times this season...and each time it doesnt,  its time to painfully accept that this team has NO heart

We keep setting a new bar for worst performance of the season.

Disgusting.

  • GOT IT!!!
This loss means less to me than the Cavs, Magic, and ATL games this season. Those were the measuring stick games that would show if the C's belonged at the top. The C's haven't fared to well in those games.

Today was a vet team coasting until the last few minutes. The only thing today's game should show is this team isn't enough anymore to just coast to wins even against the worst teams.
