  • And the Truth shall set you free
As many of us on CB, I am getting pretty tired of all the doom and gloom on here.  Just today we have a thread definitively predicting the celtics get crushed in the second round and another saying we should tank the season.  These threads are popping up at an incredible rate (1 every 5 seconds according to my research).  In my opinion, it sucks.  As others have stated its starting to make CB unbearable to an extent. As others have also stated, people make all of these predictions or clamor that they know what the Celts should have done and then when they are wrong there is no way of holding them accountable.  I'll get the ball rolling.

First on the list:

Footey for the thread "Prediction: We will lose in 4-5 games in 2nd round"

Let's see where that prediction stands in may.  Maybe he's right, maybe he's not.  I'm anxious to see.

Next on the list:

PLamb for the thread "Is it smarter to rest the Big Three(not tank) for the rest the regular season ?"

Not really a prediction but calling for the celts to tank the season is pretty bold.  I think if we have a deep run and play teams tough that this will seem like a pretty silly notion.

Disclaimer:  This is not a personal attack on anybody.  I am not completely sure if this falls within the forum rules for CB.  I apologize in advance if it is in violation.  If so, please let me know and I'll see if I can amend it.

Well I suggest we change that.  Lets make this on ongoing thread where he hold every psychic friend or fantasy GM accountable.  What happened to all of those saying we have to trade ray?  He has been playing some pretty impressive ball of late, no?  What happens if the Celts go all the way?  Should the doom and gloom prognosticators get to enjoy it as much as the rest of us without gettin a little cake on their face?  I say no!!!

So I say lets keep running track of all of the predictions or threads that say what doc/danny/rondo/paul/etc. should have done and then call the people out when they are flat out wrong.  At least this way there is an added sense of entertainment and suspense to all of these dreary threads.    As time goes, we can come back and check who was right and who was wrong.  Who knows?  Maybe some of these prognosticators are right and months from now we can give them their props.  Only time will tell.

This is the type of thread that gets posters suspended or banned.  Everyone is warned.
