I wouldn't expect too much Celtics talk.  Greg isn't there as a Celtics "insider" (because well, he isn't an insider), he is there as just another Boston sports media guy to co-host.  They will talk about whatever is the most popular with their listeners right now...and the chances of that being the Celtics are pretty slim.

You are right...i was hoping it would be more about the Celts seeing that we are in the middle of the basketball season.Big O dominates most of the conversations anyhow.I know its his show but he goes overboard.

Danny is due on within the  next hour...if you can count on it.

Yes, it is the middle of the basketball season...but it is also the MIDDLE of basketball season.  Now that the trade deadline has passed, there really is not a whole lot to talk about.  There is only so much they can analyze Nate Robinson, or the team's lack of fire.

Combine that with the fact that NFL free agency opens up in about a week, and spring training is just starting, and it is no surprise that they don't want to talk about basketball.

Yes, Big O dominates the conversation much of the time, but the callers/listeners generally dictate the topics of discussion.  As the many threads on this site bashing the station show, we are not their main audience.

I have to disagree with you when you say his callers/listerners dictate the topics of conversations,he does that from the begining. Its 3:35,and he has talked mainly football,Lowell,approx.1hour/half.Now the callers will chime in on what has already been layed out usually. And whether or not the blog listen in or not, they are a source for Celts updates, etc.and most pro. New England sports, whether you like the hosts are not.Im not a big Glenn fan but i try to catch some of their shows to hear if theres any new developments.Do you think Danny is done for the season?

If you listen to the other shows, on sports radio (WEEI and 98.5), you know that 90% of the time, they are all talking about the exact same things.  Ordway is not dictating this.  This is big business, and there is a ton of research that goes into what is discussed.  And unfortunately, other than at the trade deadline, the draft (sometimes), and during the playoffs, the Celtics do not bring in the ratings...just like the Bruins don't.

Like it or not, basketball is a niche sport in this town, and that does not bring in the ratings.

Which is why you are not their core audience.
