Lohaus was a nice 2nd round draft pick (same draft as Reggie Lewis).  7 footer who also had a nice outside touch, but he was soft.  I believe McHale nicknamed him "Fi Fi" because of his poodle-like hairdo, and Lohaus never liked that.  He had a nice left-handed stroke, though. 

Roberts was a journeyman who actually did have a few good ballgames, but his skill set was very limited, though I would take him over Scalabrine...honestly.

You gotta see the picture of a shirtless Scal on page B16 of today's Globe. What muscle tone, what a sixpack! Why would he allow himself to appear in the paper without a shirt?

If I recall Fred was a very high pick from BYU (Danny probably pulled strings lol) and was supposedly going to be Larry's replacement.

Fred was a FA pickup...1987, I believe.  I am pretty certain he played for the Jazz before becoming a Celtic.

In one of my Larry Bird books I recall Bird saying that the fans and media used to bash Greg Kite (I think it was him) all the time. But Bird said that he was so important to the team because in practice he'd keep all the guys on their toes. Said he worked there butts off defending them and going after them in practice. Guys like that know their rolls and probably do things off the court in practice and in the locker room that we as fans never see.

My gut tells me that Scals's real value is something we don't see. He's probably the same kind of guy. I actually think that Scal is better than what most teams have at the bottom of their bench. He's just a little over paid.

I will say this. I'd rather see him shoot a 3 then Sheed.
