I've been tired of BOTH Van Gundy's for a long time. ;)

I'm a huge fan of Jeff. He is a great guy and very entertaining.

the van Gundy's are both very capable coaches, it was kinda of low of me to compare either of them to the Mario Brothers, just feeling a tad bit nostalgic, is all  ;)

He does whine a lot for the right reason usually. I know it offends Celtics fans, but that's the reality. Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce weren't considered winners 3 seasons ago. Both were stuck on bad teams for many years. SVG is sticking up for his guy, and you hope every coach does the same.

I always liked VG to be honest, he's comedic. If you watch the time outs when he's yelling at his team, you'll notice none of them are paying attention to him lol.

Bring back the show!!!!

The fact that Jeff Van Gundy isn't employed as a coach is a joke. Especially when guys like Vinnie Del Negro has a full time head gig. Probably a money issue, but he should still have a job.

  • You know my methods, Watson.
I'd give anything to hear JVG yell during a game, "Get Off My Train!!!"

I'm tired of the whining in the NBA from a general perspective, so yes.

The successful Magic teams have been stacked with Talent. If Dwight was the level of player KG or Lebron were he would've won more than 1 game in the finals and wouldn't have been stopped by the Pistons the years before. Dwight doesn't take over games.

How did KG's play change from his Minny days to Boston? It didn't. He just had an influx of talent around him. And find me a person who thought the Magic were beating the Cavs in the ECF last year. The fact that the team went to the Finals was an accomplishment in itself.

My assumption is he brought up a non issue or blew a minor comment out of proportion (Dwight not being a winner) to put down KG and LJ. Dwight won't be big winner due too having an excessive amount of air between his ears.

Sorry Smiley no rings for you.

Van Gundy is a great coach but, he does tend to give his opinions a lot.

Stan or Jeff.
Sometimes they look very similar with the way they grab onto legs.

...because with Jeff we have to listen to his whiny "points" he makes as a commentator for nationally-televised games. Unless you mute your television, that is.
